Power-Up 4.2.1. OTA software update installed today

Would someone please check on 1FTFW1ED8MFA77616? When I turn off Automatic Updates and then check for updates, it shows 3.5.3 is "pending". It did the same thing back in January, and 3.5.3 never went through. Thanks!

Has anyone noticed any significant changes with this update? I have had a slew of problems with Carplay connectivity since the last update which enabled full screen carplay. My CarPlay shuts down at the same two locations on the way to and from my office. Sometimes it comes back on and others I have to soft reset with the volume and skip track buttons on the steering wheel.
it’s extremely frustrating as it rarely had carplay connection issues prior to the last update on February 16th. My truck is a 21 502A.

There's a spot now when I go through the city opposite of my commute that my carplay shuts down now all of the sudden. Happened multiple times this weekend for the first time.

Good news is I figured out how to remove the Alexa icon and I like how it reverts to zoomed in on my location radar map instead of whole country radar map in the Nav now.

Well, I just took a quick drive to my job's sister store to meet a client of mine that wants to buy an Audi. When I come back and park, I have a Fordpass notification that I got 4.2.1 and PTS confirms it. This is the first power-up OTA my truck has ever gotten.

When I got 4.2.2 the other day it was weird. After 2 years of Powerboost ownership I finally didn't FDRS it before OTA got a chance.

I'm no longer an OTA virgin

Haha! just got my cherry popped today with 4.2.1
Feels kind of weird, but glad the system is working for me...finally. Was really hoping I wouldn't have to spend another $50 to do an FDRS update again.

Me too. Just this minute 4.2.1 just rolled in. Full FDRS update 3 weeks ago, first OTA update since last September. It seems some are getting 4.2.1 and others 4.2.2. But whatever they are really pushing updates. Now I have to see what broke. Everything was fine.

I don't think 4.2.1 is a problem.
4.2.2 is next, and it is messing with music streaming

Great news - I got 4.2.1 on 4/20/2023 and 4.2.2 today - four days later...maybe the 28th will be your day again...LOL. I don't have a full tank, but did fill up on the 14th and again on the 22nd...OTA's came between the fill ups. The full tank sounds funny to me tho.

On 4/24 I received 4.2.1 on my 2021 Plati. Funny enough, I just filled up my truck last night, so I'm hoping I get one of the newer updates you all are talking about. Wouldn't that be something if it happened in the few days following a gas tank filler-up! Lol

I just got 4.2.1 today as well. Had been quiet since February, when I got 3.5.3 and the heated mirrors & license plate lights (PU100x series) updates.

I was also wondering what magic it took to trigger, was actually a full tank as of Monday...

Note that I could have sworn something yesterday flashed across the top of the Carplay display that said "downloading", but was gone within a few seconds before I could get a better look. Today, I saw the bell shaped notification saying it was going to run an update tonight. I had planned to tell it to go ahead and install when I got home, but apparently this update had turned into a check mark and installed on it's own by the time I drove home.

Assuming now there will be a series of the 4.2.2, .3, .4 fixes lining up.

Auto-updates only apply to updates that require the vehicle to be parked and inhibited while the update installs. This is not one of those updates. That is why it installed outside of the schedule.

.2, .3 and .4 are already being sent out.
