i tried it didn't work lolHit it with your purse.
I think thats my next step. Funny enough i appear to not be the only one having this issue. There was another thread here of people having the same issue and sure enough a couple said they adjusted that rod and it helped. They only mentioned one nut to loosen the rod but mine has 2 and they would not budge. Going to a mechanic saturdayThere may be adjustment in the rod that goes between the pedal and the booster that will raise the brake pedal. Have you talked to a mechanic about this?
Haha they are super old shoes, comfortable brand thoughTry different shoes. Them ugly.
Thanks so much for recording that video! Yes i agree the gas pedal is always closer to the floor right? In my truck though they are pretty much even with each other which i think is what my issue is. Like when your foot rests on the gas pedal and you slide over to the brake, you hit the brake right, you can't just slide over to it? In mine, i don't hit, i slide over to it meaning its not raised at all. So when i brake, i am having to push way down almost pointing my toe on the brake.Hate to break it to you, but in all my vehicles, the gas pedal is closer to the floor than the brake pedal.
If I jam my foot (heel) all the way up under the gas pedal, it will be hard to move between it and the brake pedal.
But if I move my heel back AND position it about halfway between the gas and the brake, I can move between the pedals with ease. Maybe you need to move your SEAT back to allow your heel to rest further away from the pedals?
Oh, and the adjustable pedals? It moves ALL the pedals up and down, accelerator included -- not just the brake pedal.
Thank you for your insight! I definitely think my pedals are off. While a super minor thing, daily driving it is causing me pain. Rock in shoe type of situation lolMy '22 with adjustable pedals is similar to your dad's where the brake pedal is like an inch or so closer to the seat
