It's under warranty. Take it in and have them deal with it. There's apparently clips on the inside that can be adjusted according to my service guy. They had to take the panel off on the other side to get access to them.
My concern is the dealer messing up my truck. It's happened to me too many times because the people working at dealerships just dont care.
It's nothing complicated and hard to screw up, even for the oil change guy, once they know what needs to be done. Just a bunch of screws to take the cover off the inside of the tailgate, then loosen the clips and slide them around to equalize the distances between, closer to the problem areas and tighten it back up. Only thing to pay attention to, is torquing the screws when installing the inside cover again and not go crazy with your impact driver, or you'll strip the the holes in the sheet metal. Just snug it up good by hand.

You can remove it without breaking any clips but you need to be patient. You also need to drill 5 holes that are 1/4 inch in size to release the clips you cannot reach. This allows you to reach the clips with the screw driver and release them. The holes are covered by the tailgate panel, or at least mine was. I can go into much greater detail if needed.
There are metal clips that hold the two panels together as well as 1/4 wide tape.
Clean everything up very well, remove old tape, install 1/2 wide tape and go crazy with it. Stick it back together. Install the reused clips. Again, careful as it's plastic. And snap the panel back into place and reassemble the tailgate.
