Other than some electrical, nuisance type gremlins early on, which have all disappeared, for more than a yr. by charging directly to the battery posts and then immediately doing a BMS reset, I have loved this truck. I mean, a lot. And not been quiet about it but I promised if things changed, I'd be straight about that too.
There are tons of threads about vibration. Some slight, some harsh, some described as grinding, often blamed on the transmission, especially the PB transmission, with it's electrical motor coupling etc.
Recently, I've noticed a vibration at highway speeds. 65mph (+-). Can't feel yet it but I can hear it. A repeating change in sound frequency. It isn't loud yet but it is there. There are no other symptoms. Trans shifts normally, temps normal, all systems function as they should.
Lots of road construction going on locally and at first, I dismissed it as that but it is on roads not under construction too.
According to Ford Pass, tire PSI are within a pound of each other.
At close to 18.5K miles, half of it towing in the 7,500lb. class, at near max payload, across the Rockies and back twice, it hasn't exactly been babied but has performed beyond my expectations.
My plan is, so long as it doesn't get worse, or I notice something else specific, at it's 20K mile service, I'll have the tire balance checked and rotated,, both differentials checked and the trans checked.
Of course I'll report back those findings, or anything in the interim.
Anything else?
