Paying for Nav ??

Would be great to see what my subscription cost is but the Ford website doesn't even work to allow me to reactivate! Anyone know if I am doing anything wrong?

Our Garmin 760 came with lifetime free updates and we update it with the Garmin software that runs on a computer and handles the update.

I spent the past two weeks traveling around in eastern Oregon and the Ford Nav was terrible. In towns where the speed limit was 25 mph it would not provide notice of a turn until I was at the intersection and so had to drive past and reroute. This happened many times. On a rural road I had the Nav setting as NO 4WD roads and yet it directed me down a seldom used maintenance road for levee and then to an old wooden bridge that I did not trust to support the weight of the truck. It would have been far worse had I been pulling a trailer.

It’s just like the satellite radio. Why pay when apple car play is free. All these pay for features are useless with phones.

FWIW, SiriusXM on an iPhone only works as long as you have internet connectivity, I.e. cell service.
SiriusXM in the truck is a true satellite service.
that, of course, also has some downsides, such as temporary loss of the satellite signal due to environmental conditions.

Garmin Zumo, fairly affordable, easy to use and read even with the sun and wont destroy your phone from vibrations. My friend has an AT but prefers the GPS unit.

I use a Quad lock set up for my phone with the vibration dampener. So far so good.

That’s a nice bike, I have a 22 Goldwing the automatic is king. Never thought I’d ever be riding an automatic bike.

I can see the appeal. I looked at the Africa Twin with the auto. As well as an NC750 DCT.

Ended up with a '24 Norden Expedition.

Goldwings are pretty much the benchmark for touring bikes. Beautiful bikes. Congrats man.

Can't you just use FORScan to disable that chime so you don't have to waste your money??

Possibly. I'm not really comfortable hacking my truck with Forscan.
I'd probably end up bricking my truck, lol

On a camping trip last year we used Google maps as usual when we left home with our travel trailer. We arrived at the campground about 3 hours away with no problems. Nice paved roads the whole way. Before heading home, I decided to try the Ford trailer-optimized routing to see what would happen. Almost immediately it led us down some crummy unpaved backroad that was far from trailer friendly. Never used the Ford navigation again.

The Garmin RV GPS units are designed for RV and tractor trailer use and so once the length of the tow vehicle and the length of the trailer are set up as profile it alters the route to avoid U-turns and also to avoid low clearance bridges.

With my 2022 Super Crew with the standard bed I am thinking of using this instead of the Ford nav as the turning radius of my truck is so poor. I wanted a truck with the super cab but none were available with the 36 gallon gas tank. No idea why dealers are ordering trucks with the max tow package but without the large gas tank.

Same thing happened to me last week. Assuming you already had nav activated, my nav was already active then it reverted to activation pending. It eventually kicked back on in a day or so

Over the 3 years with our truck, Google Maps has lead us to multiple incorrect destinations.

The nordens are dope but it'll be a cold day in hell that I move on from my 15' 1190 ADV R.

I'm honestly charmed by the T7, it looks fun.

I do the same but currently swapping out my clutch master cylinder since it seems to leak fluid from a unknown source and the rebuild kit didnt help.

I did PA wilds BDR-X last year and it was a blast. these KTM/Huskies eat it up like nothing!

Jealous! Wish we had BDR's nearby me like you have in the US. I have to travel 3 hours on the highway just to find some forest / dirt roads....
