Ford Nav warning chimes

On a little trip right now across Iowa on I-80 and the Nav system is driving me crazy. It seems that someone in the Highway Dept here uploaded a couple hundred warnings that cause the alert system to chime. The ones that are actually labeled are "Weight Limit". Some just show the warning triangle. Often these are when there is an overpass over I-80. Bong. Bong. Bong. I can't figure our how to turn it off. There does not seem to be an option to do so. So I just paid for the Nav Connected Service, hoping that opens up some more menu items for me.

The 2023 Powerboost is amazing towing our little Escape 19 fiberglass trailer. 15mpg yesterday at about 500 miles.

My apologies to the great state of Iowa...

Same problem in Nebraska. What is really needed is a way to turn off ALL the audio alerts if I choose to. Right now I can turn off school zones, RR crossings, and cross country borders.

These are just nuisance alarms. It says that there is a "weight restriction" but it does not say what the limit is. So.... Great truck though. But wow you can get buried in the tech, and it interrupts whatever you may be listening to. Bunches of these today

2021 F-150 lariat, I use Garmin and have never activated Ford's navigation... but coming across Nebraska yesterday and today (6/2/24) Weight Restriction popped up in the upper left of the infotainment screen.. where the clock is. I will be in SD tomorrow and hopefully that annoying donging will go away... I will be dong free...LOL

The nav on my 2010 and '13 Ram sucked, the nav on my '19 Ranger sucked, and I have no doubt, the nav will suck on my '24 F-150. Ever since I started using the Maps on my iPhone, I haven't looked back. No updates to worry about (or $$), easy to use, and nothing new to learn.

Are you towing something? On my ‘21 I get alerted to any height restricted bridges, but only in tow/hual mode. It can be turned off in settings somewhere.

All factory OEM navigation apps suck. This is why we have Android Auto and Apple Carplay.
