P084B Transmission Fault, Slipping

Update.

Got the truck back. Drove it to Vegas and back last week. Transmission was running hot for no reason (not hauling or towing anything, and weather was cold). Other things seemed to be buggy (BlueCruise nanny cam, erratic shifting, etc). Decided to check FDRS and saw I could update PCM, nanny cam module, BCM, ABS, and APIM, among others. Nanny cam took 1+ hours, APIM took 2+ hours. I'm up to date now - have Alexa and full-screen CarPlay. Hoping this solves the other issues - seems to shift better after update.

Just running hot in sub-freezing temps. Kind of like they forgot to hook up auxiliary coolers and radiator fans. Taking it in Wednesday. And a loud pop when I take a hard left, like a body mount is messed up.

But I love having it back.

Found transmission fluid on my garage floor this morning. Three separate areas. Must be making it past the felt diaper, so likely not small. Already had an appointment to take it in this coming Friday. The saga continues...

Picking truck back up tomorrow. Turns out there was an extra three quarts of fluid in the transmission, causing it to leak out the vent port. And probably the overheating and weird shifting.

What a nightmare!

Where in Utah are you? My truck is just starting to have some concerning behaviors from the transmission. I'm curious if there is a dealer I need to avoid here.

I will not return to LHM Draper, LHM Provo, or Ken Garff in American Fork. Labrum in Heber solved the problem. Much smaller dealer.

Having all the same issues the dealership kicked me out for a review truck is overheating went to 285. My truck has had high voltage wiring replaced also still have no remedy. I wrote a 1 star review and service manager refuses to work on my truck. Did corporate help and how is truck now any information will help truck has been in the shop for over 70days in past 6 months

Truck has been fine since transmission was replaced and they got the fluid levels correct. Sorry to hear about your issues. Ford service departments are not doing well.
