Currently on a 400 mile round trip from PA to VA. Just over 1000 miles on the truck and it starts stuttering on acceleration and idling rough. CEL flashing. Pulled over and checked for codes. Pulled P0300 and P2C90 along with others for multiple cylinders misfiring.

Dealer can't look at it for 5 days unless someone cancels. Dropped it off anyway.

What could be the issue on a brand new truck?

Loose connections or connectors not clicked together. You were in middle of trip you could have put in bad fuel. It is probably minor issue easily fixed so you can move on. Better to have issues now than at 36001 miles.

I'm thinking it has to be electrical. Still on the tank of gas from a couple weeks ago when I filled up our other car and that has no issues.

Also pulled code P2C90. No info on net except on the raptor forum where the truck wasn't PDU correctly.

I would lean towards bad fuel or gas tank had something in it that has now plugged the fuel filter. After the pump clicked off, was the tank topped right up? If so, liquid gas could be in the evap canister. That will cause all sorts of problems. The manufactures say to stop filling when the pump clicks off and do not over fill.

I never top off the tank. Always stop once it clicks off. Dealer put the first tank of fuel in. Waited until 1/4 tank left before filling up.

Never had any problems with this one station either. Always use 93 top tier fuel.

Let us know when you find out at the dealer. All we can do is guess at the possibilities.

Issue: Some 2024 F-150 vehicles built on or before 14-May-2024 equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost may exhibit an illuminated MIL and set cylinder misfire DTCs P0300, P0316, P0301, P0302, P0302, P0304, P0305 and/or P0306. This may be due to the software level of the PCM. To correct this condition, perform the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM to the latest software level via the FDRS.

Action: Follow the Service Procedure to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all of the following criteria:

• 2024 F-150 built on or before 14-May-2024
• Equipped with 3.5L PowerBoost
• DTCs P0300, P0316, P0301, P0302, P0302, P0304, P0305 and/or P0306 stored in the PCM

Thanks. Spoke to the service advisor today. They did a couple of updates including this TSB and it's still acting up. Service advisor said they are still diagnosing.

I had that problem with my 2015, 75 miles and was getting all kinds of misfires. Ended up being a bad injector. Dealer fixed it, but still not a fun time on a 2 day old truck.

Well The service advisor said the tech tried everything under the sun to diagnose the problem and they still have no clue. They are going to reach out to Ford to help diagnose the misfires. Ford usually takes one to two business days to get back to them.

I'm really surprised there isn't better filtration on the fuel system given the high pressure pump / nozzles. Sounds like a high pressure nozzle clog if they truly did rule out electrical.

UPDATE:
Got a call. It took over a week for them to diagnose. However, it turned out to be an injector on cyl 4.

They found the problem after switch coils, compression test etc.

Odd thing is, wouldn't they see that the injector on cyl 4 not working correctly when they connected it to the computer an ran the engine?

They had the truck for two days. Couldn't find what the problem was. Had to escalate up to Ford.

Bright side probably a one off and you'll never have another issue with the truck. :)

Took couple weeks to fix issue on my 2011 and Ford sent someone from Michigan to look at it. Engine rebuilt under warranty and ran the shit out of it for another decade. ?
