Well this is my first post here. But after a minute of googling, came across this. I have a 2021 F150 Platinum Powerboost that started jumping and showed cylinder 2 misfire. Took it in (2 weeks to get to it....still waiting on my rental costs to be re-paid) they said the spark plug had a hairline crack. A couple weeks later, same issue, same cylinder. Starting to lose faith in the dealer being able to fix this and seems from above there might be more serious engine problems out there.

Good morning! Can you please send over a DM with your VIN and Ford Dealer info? I would like to take a closer look at your powertrain concern.

I have this same problem! it started today. 11 am i used my key fob to remote start my 21 Lariat PowerBoost and a few minutes later a strong "rotten egg" smell around and inside the truck and it was idling very rough.
i hit the start button and it continued, within a few minutes the engine light came on.

i was able to drive home, seemed to drive ok after a while, but engine light is still on.

I have had misfiring in various cylinders. It always happens right before a long trip.

First time was in July the day I was leaving for a cross-county trip. Cylinders 1 & 6. It was a Saturday so my local dealership had no techs in. I replaced on my own the spark plugs for 1 & 6 and moved the coil packs over one cylinder and successfully made my trip across the country and more.

Of course, around 3000 miles later, on a return trip, cylinder 5 (where the coil pack from 6 that was misfiring was placed) started misfiring. I was able to get a new coil pack from a dealership near me (not an easy thing since most dealerships don't have any in stock given how new the vehicle is), replaced the #5 cylinder coil pack, and made the return drive of about 200 more miles ok.

I then drove another cross country trip plus additional mileage (~2800 miles in Sept) and on the start of a weekend trip, had misfiring in cylinders 3 & 6 !?! now. I put a new coil pack into the #6 cylinder spot and drove home and to the dealership. But without codes (I erased them each time so I could track if the issue re-occurred) they said they could not do anything -- other than drive the car around until it happened again.

So I am going to drive cross country again before Thanksgiving and hopefully not have an issue, or if I do, swap the coil packs around to at least make it to my destination and then take it to the dealership with the codes left and hopefully they will be able to do something.

21 Powerboostt with ~26k miles.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your F-150 concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.
