Has anyone experienced a misfire?

Currently stranded on the side of the road because the truck keeps throwing a P0306.

Has anyone experienced a misfire like this?

Truck has ~5000 miles and was built 07/21 according to the door jamb.

Dealer still has the truck at this point.

I'm thinking it's probably a faulty coil pack that just took time to show up.

I had an intermittent misfire on #2. Dealer found no problem. Swapped #1 & #2 coil packs. On the way home, Misfire moved to #1. Took 2 days to overnight order a new coil pack. Problem fixed.

What PID did you use to read this on the OBD2 app and what app did you use

I already have a ELM327 WiFi OBD II reader. It reads codes, but doesn’t have the higher diagnostic enhancements. I’m researching which $200 reader will grab other body/brake/transmission module codes

..not sure what all it can access; I was waiting for the Forscan powerboost features to be figured out by others before I start messing with it.

There's a considerable number of features that the Forscan folks have already cracked.
Double honk has never been a better hack now that we are camping with our Powerboost as a power source and maybe needing to access it at night.

And the gauge cluster hack for seeing REAL engine coolant and transmission temps is an oldie-goldy to address the fake gauges.

As I said, some of the most desirable hacks have been figured out.

For the fastest and most stable connection, this is a popular dongle that reads both CAN busses. Not to mention using Forscan for code reads and troubleshooting, like the misfires that started this thread.

Any updates since you changed the coil pack? I had this issue for almost a year now. Injectors 1&3 + misfires .

Dealer changed injectors twice and some other computer. I’m about to go back to the dealer and tell them what to do!
