We’ll, after 8 months of no OTA updates. I finally let the local Ford dealer have my truck. After 8 hours and a new battery no luck. Phase 1 failed. I guess the technician will call Ford on Monday to learn more on phase 2. I was happy I got my truck back. I kind of feel bad for the guy’s preforming the work, it seems like some shops get it and some don’t. Not very standardized service. I really like the truck, but Ford is working there way down.
Did you ever get this figured out?

No, I’ve been too busy. I have to get back on it. I’m starting a kitchen remodel so my head is elsewhere. They want my truck overnight. They were supposed to get back to me when they got everything they need for another attack. I can hear it now, either the parts are on back order or some other generic excuse. Part of the blame is on me, I guess I need to be more forcefully.

Well I just took the truck to another dealer about an hour away. They had it two days and they say the 22B08 was completed and took about 8 hours. They asked if I wanted the blue cruise updated also but that meant it being there two more days and as they had no loaners I said no. The first thing I noticed was the auto update button and the one below it was still grayed out. I went back in and a tech came out to see for himself and he had no answer except to say maybe the blue cruise update needs doing also. I did notice that I can now schedule an update which I couldn't before but it doesn't stick. If I go back in 10 minutes later it needs to be set again. So looks like I will be bringing it back to them to leave at some point. I was wondering if a factory reset would work seeing as the APIM has been reprogrammed. Has anybody tried this?

Same problem here, local dealer has no clue. Reached out to Ford on this f150 site, absolutely no help at all. She said that my local dealer would be my best help. And she would send a note to my open case number. My case rep. said take it to another dealer. That’s two hours away, what it takes more than a day to fix. Do I sleep on the floor like the airports.

Took it back to the same Dealer an hour away and after a week and a half its finally done. They had to do set up a Help Hotline to Ford and were told to replace the APIM. Once they replaced it they updated it from the 1.7.1 to the 2.8.3 so I am just about caught up. No more grayed out buttons! They also got the Blue Cruise done and I used it a little on the way home. Might be good for the wide open highways but in the heavily congested area I live in not so much. Hated having it there for so long but at least its fixed.

I am yet to receive an update on my 21' 7.5 old truck. What's funny is, as soon as I click "Check for updates" on SYNC, the response "no ending (or available, can't remember) updates" pops up in the screen within half a millisecond, which means it doesn't even "bother" to check if there is an update.

I am definitely, without any doubt, am not willing to leave my truck at the dealer for days/weeks in order for them to "fix" this and update sync, especially after their senior technician was caught on camera saying "there are no updates but I'm gonna write down I updated, otherwise I will not get paid".

Jesse I’m having issues with my OTA updates also, can you let me know where my truck stands at? I put it on a charger the last couple of days hoping it was battery related. But nothing yet. Thank you in advance.

I don't see any attempts at a ota in at least 60 days. I can only see up to 60 days. You do have updates available no telling if they will ever push them to you. Only option for getting them done is to do them manually if you want to get up to date

My truck is waiting on a new APIM. This problem has been going on since February 2022 with no fix yet. It's beginning to piss me off.

Thank you Sir. Guessing that manual way would be buying the mongoose I read about?

I would almost guarantee that your APIM doesn't need to be replaced, but that it needs to be PMI'd or something else that should be "simple" in FDRS

What is the issue you are having that prompted a apim replacement?

My OTA updates aren't working. It won't turn on. Pretty much hasn't worked since I owned the truck. My truck has been in and out of the shop since February 2022. The dealer finally said they were going to replace the APIM. That was over a month ago. Worldwide back order. My truck is a Job 1 truck.
