Can't believe someone didn't already mention this, but yesterday my '22 XLT Powerboost 302A got this update:

What's in This Update?
Software Update

Your vehicle has been updated with following:

Powertrain

Your vehicle's powertrain software has been updated to help prevent a possible error state where a "Stop Safely Now" message may appear.

Stability Improvements

Your vehicle is now enhanced with improved stability during low-state-of-charge battery conditions, and you will get more reliable warnings in the driver display when low-state-of-charge conditions exist.

We have made update to your ABS calibration to optimize your vehicle performance.

Approach Detection

Approach detection functionality has been added to your vehicle which recognizes when you are approaching to the vehicle with a valid key fob and will provide the welcome animation. You can enable or disable the approach detection on the Sync screen.

Software updates are designed to help make your vehicle better over time.

Priority Update 23-PU1009-SS-NS

Could it be that Ford slipped in an almost unnoticed update that addresses what seems to be one of the more vexing problems? Let's hope!
