Looking at a new F150 but I need power fold mirrors if i want to get it in my garage. Ford should realize that anybody in a snow state that has a garage would want to at the very least park their cars indoors! Add it as an option for EVERY line of the 150 trucks. You have to step up to a Lariat to make that happen at a significant cost! Its obviously a big issue as there are plenty of blogs out there about people making the modification. As a Ford person my whole life, that is now changing. My recent car was NOT a ford and my truck decision is still out. I hate to say it but Chevy is looking like an option.
WANT. come on man. You can fold mirrors before entering the garage. A conveniece is not a need.

I’m not going to lie, I’m not a fan of Ford’s reduction of ordering options with the F-150, with increased use of packaging and reduction of trim codes. When I ordered my 2022 I had a very specific set of things I wanted, I now can’t replace that combination if/when I need to replace my truck, as 500A doesn’t exist and the Lariat with bench seats and a 2.7 is no longer available. I liked that I could get exactly the truck I wanted, not the one Ford wanted to sell me. I hope they’ll open things back up eventually.

I have recently read several comparison-type reviews of trucks, and I was surprised that Ram came out on top in nearly all categories except heavy towing capacity, and Ford nailed that. But, most of the reviews I read didn't include Chevy. I need to do more research before I buy another Ford, and yes, I admit, I am a Ford guy. Always had Ford trucks, as now, and mostly Ford cars, eg, Thunderbird, Mustang, etc. It's a new world we're living in.

I’m also surprised at the cuts of amenities that I wouldn’t imagine cost that much money like the bed camera, or running the LED running light all the way down to the fog lights. Restricting the BAP to the smaller wheelbase makes no sense either.

There are plenty of Ford and non-Ford options. That's all I'm saying.
I agree, but fords are the only ones I (personally) don’t feel poured into

I guess I just don't get why a lot of you are replacing trucks you "love" that are only 2-3 years old.

But, that's probably a me problem.

It's due to leasing the truck instead of buying it. If you want to keep leasing similar trucks, its getting harder to do so.
if you look at lease vs buy with no money down. Buying is about 2x the monthly cost, which makes most people want to lease.

As you will see in a previous post of mine, leasing makes no sense to me either. Ya, you may pay less a month, but my payments will end at some point. I'd wager 5 years of payments maybe even twice as high as your lease will end up being less than your 30 years of leasing.

Again though, I'm sure that's just a me thing.

For sure, in hindsight, i should have bit the bullit and just bought it. Leasing still makes sense for some people though, and it does have its perks.

I, like most of you came from an era when you opened the small wing window to get more air in the cab during the summer. When you had to push the floor button to get highs on headlights. I was asked by Dad to rewind the cassette as the tape was sticking out. Roll down the windows, with a handle. Lock the door with a key. Remote start was me running outside with Dads keys, pumping the pedal to "set the choke" and start it before he left for work.

Now we get mad when our phone wont start my truck, or read tire PSI, or my next oil change.

I bought a STX, don't use the hold, nor lane assist.
I can turn on my own wiper blades when it rains. I can hold my foot on the brake at stoplights, why, because I always have.
Sure some things are nice and I love em, but we've come a LONG ways from the old days.
