That will most likely leave you in dash cam. They are working on it.

Ya, this didn't work for me. We even thought it might be the extension cable so I direct wired under the dash. Still same issue, it waits for controls to start. Deselecting the vehicle only gets it to dashcam mode and won't fingerprint.

This should be resolved in a few hours, but if you are in a rush, you can make a fork and hardcode your fingerprint (be sure to not select a vehicle from the menu)

That was absurdly simple.

Anyone wishing to stay on sunny pilot can use the branch switcher to move to a roll-back branch that works for F150s.

from the software menu, you can "check for update" and then "select target branch" and choose dev-c3-rollback-test-prebuilt

Any commentary on the dash cam functionality of the Comma 3x?

Does it have any crash detection, break-in detection, or 'sentry mode' parking monitor type functionality? Front and rear recording? Are these type of features in any of the openpilot forks?

Crash detection yes. Sentry mode..... eventually. You can see some of the bones of that code in there when you peek around at the code. I think some forks used to have it, because the Comma3 Had an NVME slot and you could put a 2TB drive in it. But to make room for the red panda in the Comma3X the NVME went away and you now only have 64gb of onboard storage space (less than 5 hours at the quality the cameras record at). Several of us have theorized about adding USB-C storage, but no one has followed through with it yet, we all have bigger fish to fry at the moment.
