dev-c3 has been very active lately. Something might be broken. I’ll test stock dev-c3 tomorrow. rwxr and I finished a bunch of testing on a custom branch today.
If you need any assistance on testing, I'm willing to help now that my device is all up and operational.

@labjr1 for now the speed limit source for Fords is only map or nav. Car is not merged in SP yet. I made the required changes I’m running with them, created a pull request for SP, but not merged yet. There is some work in background for better long and lat control, outside of the SP team, - which are more important than speed control.

I don’t know for sure, but I don’t think SP can read the speeds limit signs, it’s using online databases for that.

Soon(TM) - in the language we are used with from Ford, SP should support car as speed limit source.

I totally missed that wasn't merged yet. I thought that happened last week.

That explains what I am seeing. It is not pulling car info and is therefore relying on the navigation database used by SP which coincidentally has some bad information for my area due to rapid growth and subsequent road / traffic changes.

This is the exact reason I looked into adding this feature.

You recommended car first. There is "car only" then "car first" . It's confusing what the rest of the options do.
If I use "car first" do I need to turn on ford's sign recognition?

Also can someone explain what M.A.D.S. does when on?

MADS keeps lane centering active after you tap the brakes and cruise control cuts off. It causes massive headaches for Ford users because it fights you after a turn.

Ajzride, that video answered a ton of questions.
It explains the current limitations. As a new user coming into this project it hard to gather and understand what each feature does. This video answerd many. I hope you can continue to teach by video. So grateful!!!
My expectations were so far off. Now I understand why my truck wants to continue the turn. I always thought the trucks radar was engaged. Now with sunnys latest updates and changing model to

I understood you were running SP with long control on, experimental on and CAR first?

Yesterday I changed to BD and updated to SP 1051 with Long only on. Drive was excellent.

What is merging when you guys talk about the updates?
What is the red circle upper left? I have that always.

That shows if experimental mode has detected a reason to stop (relight, stop sign, car in front of you).

"F-150 won't make right hand turns yet"? Can you elaborate on that?
Ford limits how much torque we can send to the steering wheel using messages. This prevents us from making automated right turns (left hand turns too, I just didn't say that). Anything more than a strong curve you have to use your hands for.

Some trucks with trailer assist or parking assist can send more torque, but only at really low speeds, but will reject the messages if you send them at anything more than parking lot speeds.

Looking for solutions to that limitation is what we were using the Nintendo controller for.

As I understand it, Car only will not work because OP/SP is not yet communicating with Ford to get the speed limit information. They are working on that feature but it is not yet available for Ford. I am not thrilled with the Nav or Map options as they have a lot of bad data for my area.

Yes, there was some confusion the other day, but speed limit signs from the F150 have not been adopted by Sunnypilot yet. I tested them a while ago (they worked obviously) and thought they were already picked up for public use. Turns out they are not there yet because not all Fords can do it yet, so extra code is needed to disable it on Fords with no speed limit sign recognition. Since we are on a Ford forum, you know what we mean when we say it will be coming Soon"TM".
