OK, when exactly are the DRL's supposed to be "ON"?

I have a 21 Lariat that just seems to be getting buggier and buggier... I think that when I got the truck about a year ago, (I just hit 50k miles) the LED strips around the headlights were always ON and very bright. Now the only way I can get them to come on is to turn the headlight switch to ON and they seem dim. The also come on when the headlights do when the switch is set to auto. There is no setting available for them at all in the infotainment system as I have read online. The only things I have done with Forscan was disable the horn when you exit the vehicle and disable the auto shutdown of the engine at red lights etc.. I have never received an OTA update and I'm on Sync 4, 23159 Rev 915. Don't know if it matters but this truck was brought in from Canada.

It seems the longer I have it the more quirky problems I see and the more I dislike this truck. Do I need to reset something?

My DRL's are always on in the daytime but I leave my lights in auto. If I change it to off then I believe the DRLs will turn off as well

@pedalquickly Mike, The settings you require for DRLs on all the time, regardless of headlamp switch position are in the BCM, called "DRLBYAUTOLAMPS". Disable these and the drls will work all the time, but will by default dim when headlamps are on.

The Canadian spec F150s do not have an option to turn them off as a requirement here as it is in many European countries. I believe you can access the DRL through the Sync 4 an infotainment center.

Are you testing it with the truck in drive? If not, try engine on, truck in drive, parking brake on. If that still doesn't work Go into the BCM asbuilt in FORScan for me and show me what you have for:
726-21-01
726-27-02

FYI guys, there are many trucks outside of the US that don't have the DRL switch in Sync4. It can be added with FORScan of course, but @pedalquickly just wants the DRLs on all the time. That's what we're working towards.

Also this truck was built in Canada but was transferred into the US. I don't have the DRL setting as someone said but would love to have it.
