Well I installed the Sirius/XM module and I want to install factory the antenna that is cab mounted.
I have the wiring already in the truck but I’m wondering about the blue wire that the existing ant is connected to.
the new antenna has the purple and tan (which is the sat) but doesn’t have the blue connection.

blue would be the gps antenna based on my previous truck. tan is Sirius as you said and the reddish purple is for the ford pass modem.

So there is an antenna that has all 3 wires?
what doesn’t work with the blue wire disconnected? Factory nav?

from looking into it my 21 has the antenna you bought. and it looks like ford is still using the splitter up by the radio so if you have the splitter you should be fine. they might have run the blue for gps in trucks without Sirius maybe???

Good call, I did use a splitter up front when I installed the 12” module so I guess I’m good. I tested and my sat works so that’s all I care about really.
I took the old ant apart and I think I’m going to drill into the side of the plastic housing to wire my cell phone booster ant and route it through a spare hole in the metal frame of the base of the ant.

Any signs of water intrusion once you removed the old antenna? These holes in the roof make me nervous after my 2010 rear brake light leaked so bad. Stained my headliner, and rusted out my rocker panels really bad. At least the new truck is aluminum.

Yea it’s definitely the base plate of the antenna. The truck itself was dirty but was able to clean it and the finish was good.
makes me want to pull the other one and check it though
