These trucks do not have crush washers. They have o rings built into the drain plug itself. Still wouldn’t hurt to change every other oil change.

I’ve never replaced those damn crush washers. I have reused the same one on vehicles for 10 or 15 years. I never replaced one and I never had one leak.

I'm a little confused...so that would be replacing the whole drain plug then?

I've never really had issues, but I figure it might not be a bad habit to have

oh, for sure certainly can’t hurt

Anyway, I’ve been lucky. I don’t know. I just like I said I never had one leak so.

You can’t replace the o ring very easily, it would make sense just to get and entire new plug.

I have a 2022 PB and mine has the metal plug. I should get one and give it to the service guy to replace the old one. This will be my third change as now I only drive about 2k - 3k miles a year so I just change it yearly.

i’m not knocking you for this idea, but you do know that dealers don’t replace these with every oil change.

of course it’s your call and it is relatively cheap but if it’s not leaking, I don’t see the need
Slightly off topic, but it is highly amusing seeing your profile pic in the context of this thread 🤣
