I dislike the Ford OEM floor mats that came with my Lariat and looking to replace them. Top selections seem to be Weather Tech and Huskey, something has to fit better than the Ford mats! Just saw an ad for Base Layer and they appear to be a quality product...anyone used or would recommend them over or equal to W/T or Huskey? Thanks for any comments and recommendations...Cheers!

Tuxmat for best overall coverage.
Held up well for me with mud and snow.

OEM everyone hates you'll see them for sale everywhere.

Just curious - why do you not like them? MY F150 came with them and I like them. I like that they are more rubbery then slick.

A number of years ago, I bought my first set of Weathertech mats. I was very impressed with how well they fit, and was quite pleased with my purchase. But after about 6 months (+/-), I noticed the side wall / edge facing the door was moving inboard, more and more. It had gotten to the point where it was acting like a funnel to the carpet for the rain and snow. They have a lifetime warranty, so I called them. Weathertech said that there was nothing wrong with the mats - just use a hair dryer or heat gun on the affected area, and bend it back. So, that's what I did, and it worked - for about 4 months, and the whole cycle starts over again. I maintained that the mat was defective because the side wall has a propensity for moving inboard. Weathertech disagrees. So, two things resulted from this: 1) now every 3~4 months I have to get out the heat gun to reshape the mat, and 2) I will never buy anything from weathertech again.

For my Lariat, I bought Baselyer. They've been in for two years now. Zero complaints. YMMV.

Standard mats, I just don't like the way they fit, the fit and finish are average, they work ok but I'd just like something better....Cheers

Oh I thought you were talking about the OEM all weather floor mats. That’s what I have.

Yeah those are standard. They leave a lot of area exposed that is covered by aftermarket options. I know the Toyota floor mat panic from years ago had OEMs change things. It is ridiculous to leave huge area of carpet exposed by pedals. I have winter and mud here and hate cleaning carpet.

Weathertech isn't what it used to be and didn't bother getting it for current truck but love the tuxmat. There are hundreds of OEM rubber all weather mats for sale online that most don't want. If they work for you then keep them. All personal preferences.

Same here came with truck and they are great.

Any company with the work tux is in makes me think of china. But they all made in china :)

I had Husky liners in my 2015 and they worked very well.

Funny, many moons ago we would put carpeted mats to cover our vInyl floors and now we’re putting vinyl mats to cover our carpet floors. ????
Its a funny world we live in...?

About 3 months ago I put Husky mats into my XLT and the wife's Equinox. Best part is Husky covers under the gas petal where factory ones did not.

I'll second Tuxmat, they cover literally everything and provide clips for holding everything in place.
I haven't had them long enough to speak of their durability, wear from my heel on the gas pedal might be my biggest concern.

I had weathertechs in my previous F 150s. They got hard and started to curl at the edges. Made the switch to Husky's and have been pleased so far.
