is the MX worth the extra cost over the corded model?
Not for working with Forscan. Not at all.
The refresh rate over USB is actually quicker. Although that hardly matters for doing Forscan edits. But for logging it is smooooth.

The reason I bought the MX, even though I already had their USB, is because it's a lot less fuss for monitoring pids on a daily basis. Very convenient.
