I know it's a long shot because I couldn't find such a PID looking through list of enhanced pids. Anybody seen or heard of such a PID? Until they restore generator output monitor via Fordpass App, OBD PID monitor would be an option.

Thanks, but still doesn't indicate a specific PID for generator output - leg A wattage, leg B wattage. HV SOC and HV amps does give some indication, but not as granular as what I would like to see.

If @Snakebitten hasn't posted it up then chances are it may not be possible. Yet

Sadly this wasn't really a needed thing until @Ford Motor Company decided to all but kill the Ford Pass app functionality. We could easily monitor the status of Pro-power generator output in real time remotely in the former versions of the app. A very handy thing to have during say A HURRICANE... But now you can barely remotely lock/unlock start the truck with the app forget about being able to do anything useful with it like before.

The thought just occurred to me, I have an older android phone lying around. I may see about side loading the older APK version of Ford Pass on it just so I can regain this much needed functionality in the Ford Pass app...

Poke around in an app with enhanced PID and you might get lucky. Anything referencing "generator" in PCM will be the alternator, not the inverter. It might be in another module somewhere. Good luck. :)

Thanks. Yeah, I poked around a lot and couldn't find anything. I know occasionally they add/modify PIDs so maybe we'll see something in the future.

Another easy option would be a 30A 240V "smart" energy monitoring plug/relay akin to the many inexpensive 120V plugs available and that I use. I have searched and searched to no avail. As some have said - too niche.

Thanks again.

If anyone can find PIDs which would indicate power draw as described by the OP please let us know.

I am interested in documenting the duty cycle of my truck in generator mode with given power loads.

For example, last night I had it hooked up to my camper for 9 hours. Graph of RPM & SOC is below. For most of the night, the truck was operating exactly how I would expect with a relatively low duty cycle because it was only powering the fridge and blower for the heater. Then, for around 3 hours early in the morning it ran non-stop before dropping back down again. I used OBDLink to record the data.

Unfortunately, without PIDs for the power draw, it is very difficult to record a duty cycle at a given load. I don't want to resort to a load bank or something.

About a year ago, I used a smart plug ( 20 amp ) between shore power cord and home power and captured about 24 hr worth of energy/power data using various loads in the camper. You could easily plot against the RPM and SOC data you have. I ran a bunch of different tests and concluded the PB used ~0.22 gal/kWh.

As far as the "stuck" phenomenon you show above, I have seen that. If I recall, when I saw that, I restarted ProPower and it went back to normal. Just another reason to want more info via the FordPass app!

Thanks @wyoming

I missed that thread. Do you happen to know what PIDs are used for the PPoB values? I have scanned the 2023 Enhanced modules and can't see to find them.

Thanks.

Here you go. I had to delete the app and start over. Rescanned my vehicle and then it worked. For some reason just rescanning wasn’t doing it.

In DC/AC module:

Thank you @wyoming

I will call this my camping mode dashboard. I do wish the OBDLink MX+ had more range than a few feet!

Just a small change since I realized, just like the sync4 screen, no values below 200 watts are displayed.
