The 18" were "standard equipment" on Lariats through 2023MY, with 20" available as a stand-alone option or as part of some trim and appearance packages (e.g. 502A and "Chrome Appearance Package" ).

So, 18" wheels are really not rare at all for those years, many of we 2021-2023 Lariat owners have them (and are thankful for that!). (y)

Like the demise of the Lariat SuperCab, the loss of the 18"-wheel availability is a cryin' shame, IMO.

So it goes.

There has been a loss of choice across the board. No more 2.7 Lariat or 2.7 tow packages, no more lariat supercab, no more XLT reg cab, no more 5.0 King Ranch. They’ve been shaving off choice faster than we can keep up with it unfortunately.

I am curious to see the 2025 order guide, seems like King Ranch sales for 2024 have fallen off a cliff with no V8 and lots of Lariat bottlenecking for high trim V8 buyers. Will be interesting to see if they bring the 5.0 back to the King Ranch to alleviate some of the Lariat crowding. No 2.7 Lariat is silly too, maybe somebody wants leather and the economical motor.

The loss off the DRL strips in XLT is quite silly too.

Apparently not enough "somebody's" to make it worthwhile in Ford's estimation (for this and many other option combinations).

Yeah, we'll see how this all plays-out over time.

Me, I'm just damned glad I happened to order and buy when I did in 2022MY (with no crystal-ball warning me of what was to come). ;)

Although the 18's were the standard option, I would not say many of us have 18's. Most dealer inventory has either chrome appearance package or BAP.
I spend a lot of time on the road, I see maybe 1 Lariat per month (if that) with 18's, and about 1,000+ with 20's.

Fair enuf, you may well be correct.

Admitting mine was a special order carefully tailored to my preferences, perhaps a unicorn in more than just being a SuperCab. For me the 18's were a 'must have'.

18" squad here. I love them over the 20's. I am actually sad to find that Ford shipped my 21 with a 17" spare. Currently hunting for some [2] used 18" rims to swap my old tires onto before I get a new set of tires for the truck.
