NOCO genius5 not charging PowerBoost

Ouch.
I wonder what the static sitting voltage is after the truck is undisturbed for 75 minutes? (service manual states it can take that long to get to quiet mode, so to speak)

I have seen high 60's SOC on a couple of occasions, but that was several days sitting.

This is after about 40 minutes. So, at least we know the Bluetooth connection stays open that long. I’ve also been monitoring my drive times, I did a 40 minute drive and it barely increased 6%. The charging amperage is anemic at best.

I don’t believe the fan speed hack works with ice only. I’ve tried below 5 and at 7 and the voltage is always above 14 but the current is left wanting. For what it’s worth, my fan speed is almost always above 5 because they seem to be underpowered? (7 in the image with the time 4:55 and 3 in the image at 4:56, I did this last weekend-ish)

Haha. No worries if anything I’m in the wrong post since I don’t have a powerboost. At any rate, I figured I would try the hack to see if it works with ICE. Doesn’t seem to make a difference. I decided to really monitor the voltages after getting a warning about remote functions disabled in the beginning of October and finding my battery at 41% SOC and then seeing what really brings it back up. I haven’t come up with much.

Oh you are more than welcome to these 12V BMS threads!

Especially since your 5AMP charging current with a low SOC pretty much is evidence that your pure-ICE Ford strategy is just as anemic as our Powerboost can be.

The one advantage we have is we can turn the truck on and leave it sitting in the driveway while using it to charge the battery. All with the engine rarely even idling.

Having said that, a Noco or Prologix is the best way to go for both trucks.

That’s what I figured. I do have an admittedly short commute which I do go out of my way to lengthen, but apparently it’s not enough.
