Truck has been working great receiving regular updates for the most part. Parked it on Thursday last week, no issues, started it up this morning and have a GPS with a circle slash around it. Restarts don't do anything to fix it, nav doesn't work, fordpass doesn't work.

I pulled the positive lead for 30 minutes in an attempt to reset whatever ails it, but didn't work. Is there a way to fix it? I didn't look for any dtc's with my code reader, but I could and clear them if needed.

Never mind, it self corrected. Weird. Maybe it needed a second restart after the battery pull.

I had this happen occasionally on my former 2020 Explorer ST. I believe it was from parking it in the garage and loss of GPS signal. I used to fix the issue by soft booting the sync system (radio). Depending on what version of Sync you have, you will press a series of buttons at the same time. I believe on the 2024 XLT, this is done by pressing and holding the volume button and the seek fast forward arrow at the same time. After a couple seconds, you will see the Sync screen reboot and it should reconnect with the GPS signal.

Just curious for you guys using the ford GPS. What benefits do you see vs just using Android auto or Carplay? Is it just a Bluecruise thing?

For me, it is what I know and used to. I'm sure CarPlay is just as good.

CarPlay is fine too, except mine has an annoying habit of switching me from Sirius to iPhone and I have to switch it back at least twice before it settles in.

As for the navigation, CarPlay does better with traffic reporting imo. But I was just using ford nav because I got tired of switching back the radio.
