Newb Questions & Popular FORScan Changes

As a new F-150 owner, I have a couple newbie questions I'm hoping others might help with:

- Does the XLT 3.5L EB pump fake engine noise into the cabin? I've seen conflicting statements about this. I see there is a forscan option for this setting, but I'm just not sure if it applies to my rig (and am not ready to start making changes yet).

- Is there anyway the vehicle will allow me to let my kids connect their devices to the center console and use it for video on road trips?

- What are your favorite FORScan changes? I know I want to get rid of the double honk (already got me!), but not sure what else.

1. Don't know the fake noise thing.
2. Are you using CP or AA? There are apps that will allow android auto to play apps at speed. I experimented once but when it failed I didn't pursue further. But that was sync 3..... time to research sync 4! ? I'll be watching this thread.
3. I added tow lights and needed FORscan to enablethe marker lights. I also used FORscsn to recalibrate the 360 cameras. I want to enable the ability to roll down windows with the keyfob.

I’m pretty sure the XL and XLT do not have the fake engine noise for the 3.5 EB, but the Lariat and above do

Using Livnitup's FORScan - 2021-23 F150 doc (revised 1/11/23), yesterday I made 6 successful changes (cool cool!). I was unsuccessful with disabling fake engine noise. And I’m not sure I can hear it if it is there. But I'd prefer it off.

Wondering if there may be a value change specific to engine type? I have a 2022 Lariat 2.7EB.

On a piped in engine noise thread last week someone stated all engines except the 5.0 have it. I do understand what those words mean, but I did ask specifically if it is known for sure if the 2.7EB has the fake engine noise. No response as of yet. So I’m trying this thread….

My ACM config shows the 3rd block as already having a “0” in the 1st position, pic below.

Either my truck doesn’t have fake engine noise, or maybe there is a value change specific to engine type?

Anybody have any thoughts?

It’s certainly possible, but I’ve owned a 22 XLT and a 22 Lariat, both with the 3.5, the XLT did not have the FENG

I'm not convinced it's on the Powerboost either. I have a 2022 Powerboost Lariat and when I make the change in Forscan according to the spreadsheet, it sets my radio volume to 0 and it can't be changed. I reset it back to original and the radio volume works fine.

If it isn't obvious, then I don't think you have the fake engine noise.

I say that because my 2018 KingRanch Ecoboost had it and whether you like it or don't, it was definitely a V8 growl and not subtle.

Neither of my 2 Powerboost (2021 Platinum 2022 KingRanch) seem to have it. If they do its dialed back so much that I can't hear it.
