I just got a pre-owned 2021 F150 limited from out of state. It should be here in a week or so. With it being 4 years old and having 67K miles on it, are there known things I should I look out for? I had it inspected from a independent third party and everything checks out and appears to be in better than expected condition for its age and region. Its clear that this was garage kept and cared for with a level of OCD that would impress.

Also, from the PPI, Carfax, and dozens of photos I've seen, it looks bone stock. With it being a limited, I'm not sure it needs much more that a tonneau cover and some high-lipped floor mats..... Are there other things that are MUST HAVES?

A short antenna. Snow tires. 😂 Well maybe not MUST HAVES around the Houston area . Wheel well liners and mud flaps if not already installed.

Already have the shorty in the cart. And down here we call those all-terrain tires. But this is going to be a pavement pounder. The most off road this truck will see is when I cut through the grass to jump off the highway when some jack wagon plays bumper cars and forces a closure! I'll look for the rest.

I would drive it for a while and see you feel it needs after a couple of months.

If you do your own oil changes, and dont have a 2.7EB, a fumoto valve is a must. Super easy to install and shaves off a considerable amount of time.

I have that in my cart already too. I put one on my wife's Nissan years ago and loved it ever since!
Just don't recall the darn thing costing $40 at the time!
Thanks!

I never understood the yearning for stubby antennas. Maybe better for auto car wash if you subject your truck to them? For looks/coolness? They certainly don’t perform better. I always thought the originals look as they should.

I advise driving it as is for a while to see what you really need to change to be happy. Congrats on the new truck and enjoy!

Depending on what part of town you're in I can help you with Forscan if you need it. Might not be a bad idea to reset the transmission adaptive tables, and any other changes you might want done.

Yeah, I don't get the wheel well liners, or blacking out lights, either.

One man's must haves, is another's frivolous doo-dads but whatever sparks your plug :)

Things I did fairly immediately when I bought my 21 was, wheel well liners (mainly to protect everything under there from getting blasted by road debris), did a transmission pan dump and fill (filter also), auto start/stop eliminater, cabin air filter, bilstein 5100's all the way around, fitcamx front and rear dash cam, raptor/tremor metal skid plate, H8 battery, and rubber bed matt.
Ohhh, also picked up a 3rd fob from Amazon for $30 and programmed it. You need 2 working fobs to program a 3rd, so if you loose one (or only recive one) then you'll be stuck going to the dealer or finding a locksmith that can program additional fobs.

Oddly enough, one of those membership style car washes is being build right down the street from me right now. And this will be the first truck Ive owned that I could see the value in one of those.

Thanks

I'm on the NW corner of 610. And my shop is at 290 and the beltway. I like the idea of resetting the transmission and deleting the double honk when you step out with the fob.

Thanks for the offer!

Well, I don't think Ill be messing with the lights any time soon. About as close as I would get to that would be tinting the windows, and according to the pictures, that already been done. But I DO like the idea of the rear liners. We'll see....

Thanks

I can see tinting. Especially for those in the south and I had an eyebrow installed pretty quickly.

The wheel liners ... I want to be able to see and clean in there. But different strokes.
