Finally got Mom talked into doing some window shopping at the various dealerships today. She said the Tremor was too tall and didn't think she could get into it good. Dash that dream because damn that's a pretty truck! Salesman said they had some used 2023 with less than 50 miles on them so we took a look at them. One was a standard Tremor..... big nope on that one because I'm set of the X02A package creature features. The other was a Lariat with pretty much everything. 3.5 TT motor and tow mirrors with the black appearance package...so kinda hello Tremor look. It's a REALLY nice truck and for what options it has it's not priced too badly.

Is there anything I should watch for or ask about if we decide to get it? Looking at the original window sticker I figure they sold it at auction just because it didn't move at the almost 78k asking price.

Can always add the Ford Performance skid plate kit to help get the Tremor looks on other trims. :)

I had that thought.........already got the hood and I guess the rear bumper with the dual exhaust.

The funny part is outside of the tow mirrors it's got everything my 1st "dream" build was.

I wouldn't seek them out but I also wouldn't rule out a truck with tow mirrors. I'm used to them at work and while I don't like the look much they are very functional.

It doesn't look back and has the 360 camera. I do like a big mirror given I'm getting older and stiffer I can't turn to look back like I used to.

Is the Tremor really that much harder to get into? I think it might be an inch or at most two higher than a standard truck (1" each for suspension and tires?), and they come with running boards standard.

Does the original Monroney sticker show delivery to a different dealer? I'd be curious and just ask 'em point blank how they ended up with it, to hear what they say. Could be as simple as a dealer-swap.

I suppose there's the possibility that it was damaged in transit or something like that and subsequently re-routed, that may not require disclosure depending on your state laws.

States vary a lot about what must be disclosed un-asked, but almost all states consider it consumer-fraud if a dealer lies regarding their knowledge in answer to a point-blank question (and IMO few are so crooked they play games with that risk).

All of this is likely of no consequence / worry if it's being sold as a "new / first-title" vehicle with the unqualified Ford new-vehicle warranty in-service date being the date you take delivery.

Hope you find something that makes both you and Mom drive / ride off the lot with big smiles!

go take a pic of the VIN and do some research! Several threads in here as well as the usual "used car" sites that can do a cursory VIN discovery for you.

It's being sold as Used/ no dealer warrenty. Of course it still has the factory 3/36 and the rest.

What they told me was they are FORD dealership and not a Ford/Lincoln dealership and got to buy on the 1st day of the auctions blah blah blah. They didn't say why the truck was at auction and they probably wouldn't know anyways unless there was damage but it looks every bit as new as the other ones. A 77K price tag probably didn't help it move.

Maybe it was used as a service loaner or dealer demo vehicle. I am driving a service loaner right now that has all the factory stickers on it and the dealership emphasized NOT removing anything.

I bought mine with ~500 miles on it. It was a 'grounded demo special'. I got about 10k off sticker, the warranty started at time of purchase, and I got a Ford service plan so hopefully I don' t need to worry about anything for a while.

They still seem to list many similar trucks that are discounted 7-12k off of sticker price

Ask about the availability of Power Running Boards. Factory PRB can be had on a 502a Lariat. Tremor???

AMP PRB can be added to about any F150 and really today is not that hard to install for the do it yourself-er. There are other out there making PRB just familiar with AMP.

Self installed the AMP PRB's on the present 22 302a XLT for my short spouse and her complaints went away.

Find a Platinum on the lot with PRB and see if this helps.

Just trying to help another guy get the Tremor he wants.

Please list prices. I am not sure how we can guide you if you don't? Any used truck CAN be a good deal depending on history AND PRICE. If the price is $5k close to a new truck, I got for the brand new one every time. Find a truck with deployable running boards. The BAP Lariat truck if ordered correctly should have come with those for no additional charge.
