True. Ford buys enough batteries that they can specify the design and assembly. So maybe they buy their batteries from a large maker, but they specify something about it that creates the problem. Remember that when you buy as many batteries as an automaker does, saving 50¢ a battery can mean $100,000 in a year. So maybe its not the battery maker's fault as they may be delivering what Ford ordered... Still, I come back to the central point: when a Ford battery is replaced with a non-Ford battery, the problems seem to disappear.... As to NAPA batteries... I've been doing business with them for several decades. I've had their flooded cell batteries go 6 to 8 years. Not saying they're better than others, just that I've had good luck with their products.I think I didnt say this correctly
Ford contracts to have batteries built...the contract or percent of reliability must be different from other contractors
Like Napa, and other brands.
