Navigation stuck loading / CarPlay won't display in main screen

Not sure if it's related but I noticed the problem the day after accepting the latest non-update. (My most recent actual update was 4.2.1 done May 25th.)

Navigation is stuck "loading map". CarPlay will not display in the main screen but does show on the side bar of the screen. The side bar can no longer be moved from side to side and SiriusXM is stuck loading. I never use Nav so I don't really care if it doesn't work but the CarPlay thing is killing me!

CarPlay actually loaded yesterday but stopped when i touched Nav to see if that was back working. When I restart the truck I see CarPlay load for a second then it's gone.

I've tried pulling the APIM fuse for 15 minutes with no luck. (it didn't even erase my radio presets) Tried doing the Sync system reboot. No luck.

Is there somewhere in Forscan I can look to see if some setting is wrong?

Similar problem with CarPlay google maps. Wont load since the update. Prior, CarPlay connected and the map loaded but no more since the latest attempt by OTA to make my Ford better didnt. I can turn google maps on on my iPhone and it will show on the sync screen but not unless it runs on the phone the whole time.

I figured out today I can force CarPlay by turning off wifi on my phone then quickly plugging in. CarPlay will work just like normal unless I click away from the CarPlay icon, then it goes blank screen again.

I’m having the exact same issue. It started about a month ago, about 2 weeks ago I took it to the dealer and they said they needed to order a module. The module never arrived and the dealer said that they heard back from fire and ford said that the modules are defective and they wouldn’t send them one until they got the situation figured out. I’m going to go by the dealer to ask for a copy of the conversation because I don’t believe much of anything they tell me anymore. Please let me know if you all had any success getting this issue resolved.

Get in touch with @Jesse-Infotainment -He was able to create a usb drive file to fix the problem. If you have Forscan he can help you fix it remotely.

On the right side of the touch screen where the radio controls are touch and swipe left. Then when the navigation is on the right side swipe left again. Works for me.
