Ok, I’ve got one more for you. When listening to XM and using CarPlay nav, why won’t the car play nav show up in the small right side screen? The CarPlay is there however it only say “CarPlay navigation is activated”. You have to flip flop the screens, XM on the small side and CarPlay on the larger side in order to view the map.

Can’t help with that one…I’d search the forum as there are plenty of threads on CarPlay issues that might help.

Here is the hardware install from our friends @Infotainment

I saw this one. Isn't this a bit different scenario? I already have a sirius tuner in my truck, as do a lot of others, so I personally dont need a new ACM, plus this video doesnt explain how people can verify if their ACM is already sirius capable and am I buying an OEM antenna with splitter. Their video is a nice starting point for figuring out how to take apart the dash and access the radio unit, but doesnt apply to a lot of what this thread discusses.

What are you needing to know? XLT22 states in the first post how to identify if your ACM is XM capable.

First I will start by saying thanks to everyone who contributes to this forum.

So I just got my 22 XLT with the xm delete reversed. Added the new antenna, cable and BAM got it going. Was able to activate it and its working well.
The issue I have is now I lost the ability to use the radio Presets. If I change all my FORSCAN changes back to factory I get them back. I was able to get them to work but once the truck powers down for over 5 minutes when you start back up it reverts back to this. Currently all the presets show "Preset-1" and do not respond to inputs. Anyone else run into this? Followed the steps set forth in the OP. Only thing extra I had to do was change the first set of values in 7DO-01-01 to 2000 from 0001 as Wally did. Not sure what to do to possibly get this fixed.

For 7DO-01-01 Use 2001 instead of 2000 for the first four of that block. That’s what worked for me.

I was able to successfully get an OEM satellite antenna set up. SiriusXM radio is working great! I do not have my GPS antenna hooked up or have a splitter installed. Now when I use Apple maps in CarPlay, my GPS location is inaccurate. I’m assuming this is because I do not have the GPS antenna set up? I assumed Maps such as Apple Maps and Google maps would use your cell phone for location, but is this not the case in it instead relies on the GPS antenna off of the truck? I plan on disassembling the GPS antenna and taping it underneath the liner like the post says and giving that a try.

EDIT: After adding the GPS antenna back under the liner and taping it there, it fixed my issues with location on Apple Maps.

Update for anyone interested, this was super simple. I found an ML3T-18K10-FDE ACM on ebay and an antenna from the folks at infotainment.com. There are other ACMs that will work just make sure it's satellite and HD radio compatible if you want that. I would not rely on the mustard colored plug on the back meaning it has Sirius capability, my -FDH has one and does not have it. I used the aftermarket antenna for cost and laziness purposes instead of buying the Ford antenna and an additional cable to go from the glove box area to ACM. Driving around N/S/E/W and through the trees I haven't noticed any quality drops or cutouts with it stuck under the B&O speaker grille. It can be moved up and beside the ambient light sensor if I have a problem with that but there are no hills around here. Removal and install is covered in several other threads so I won't go back through that. I did need to run a PMI in FDRS and reset my connectivity preferences in Sync for the full channel list, etc to display. Bonus the truck it came from has an active trial until the end of April.

Forscan changes:

7DO-01-01 *xxx-xxxx-xx This value went from 8 to A for me. Yours may vary just make sure to enable SDARS .

727-01-01 *xxx-xxxx-xx This value went from 0 to 3 for me. Same as before, enable SDARS.

Hi, I know this is a really old post, but do you happen to remember what aftermarket antenna you purchased? Thanks!

I went to the junkyard for a aftermarket to test but purchased the OEM from Ford. If you see you have the right ACM just start off that way.

Thanks! I think I have the right ACM. I ran the procedure to see what's installed and this is what I got.

Just getting back around to this, so basically if I have the right ACM (which it seems like I do) and all of the antenna components to connect the ACM, I just need to update my truck using Forscan (the 727 and 7D0 modules)? TIA

Yes if you have all the parts you just need to make the Forscan changes.
