I saw this one. Isn't this a bit different scenario? I already have a sirius tuner in my truck, as do a lot of others, so I personally dont need a new ACM, plus this video doesnt explain how people can verify if their ACM is already sirius capable and am I buying an OEM antenna with splitter. Their video is a nice starting point for figuring out how to take apart the dash and access the radio unit, but doesnt apply to a lot of what this thread discusses.
What are you needing to know? XLT22 states in the first post how to identify if your ACM is XM capable.I saw this one. Isn't this a bit different scenario? For 7DO-01-01 Use 2001 instead of 2000 for the first four of that block. That’s what worked for me.First I will start by saying thanks to everyone who contributes to this forum.
So I just got my 22 XLT with the xm delete reversed. Added the new antenna, cable and BAM got it going. Was able to activate it and its working well.
The issue I have is now I lost the ability to use the radio Presets. If I change all my FORSCAN changes back to factory I get them back. I was able to get them to work but once the truck powers down for over 5 minutes when you start back up it reverts back to this. Currently all the presets show "Preset-1" and do not respond to inputs. Anyone else run into this? Followed the steps set forth in the OP. Only thing extra I had to do was change the first set of values in 7DO-01-01 to 2000 from 0001 as Wally did. Not sure what to do to possibly get this fixed.![]()
Hi, I know this is a really old post, but do you happen to remember what aftermarket antenna you purchased? Thanks!Update for anyone interested, this was super simple. I found an ML3T-18K10-FDE ACM on ebay and an antenna from the folks at infotainment.com. There are other ACMs that will work just make sure it's satellite and HD radio compatible if you want that. I would not rely on the mustard colored plug on the back meaning it has Sirius capability, my -FDH has one and does not have it. I used the aftermarket antenna for cost and laziness purposes instead of buying the Ford antenna and an additional cable to go from the glove box area to ACM. Driving around N/S/E/W and through the trees I haven't noticed any quality drops or cutouts with it stuck under the B&O speaker grille. It can be moved up and beside the ambient light sensor if I have a problem with that but there are no hills around here. Removal and install is covered in several other threads so I won't go back through that. I did need to run a PMI in FDRS and reset my connectivity preferences in Sync for the full channel list, etc to display. Bonus the truck it came from has an active trial until the end of April.
Forscan changes:
7DO-01-01 *xxx-xxxx-xx This value went from 8 to A for me. Yours may vary just make sure to enable SDARS .
727-01-01 *xxx-xxxx-xx This value went from 0 to 3 for me. Same as before, enable SDARS.

Yes you are good. Thanks! I think I have the right ACM. I ran the procedure to see what's installed and this is what I got.
