I simply changed out my antenna. The upper left corner of the cab has three connections. A maroon, mustard and blue. The old antenna was maroon and blue. The new antenna is mustard and maroon.

Behind the glove box I added the splitter. That connects at the mustard connector and splits to mustard (acm) and blue to the nav of m the apim.
Have you checked to see if you have an open circuit silent DTC in the TCU? If so, that Forscan change above should fix that.

Might need the beta Forscan 2.4.7.

Did not have time till today to mess with it, a big thanks to XLT22 for your guidance. Changing the B to a 3 worked in my case. Being new with Forscan and not owning a ford since a 1998 Windstar has me moving with caution.

Not yet, no antenna so therefore the message "Antenna Problem".

Wanting to verify that by removing the blue plug from a non-XM antenna (with Blue and Burgundy Plugs) and going with a XM antenna (Burgundy and Blue Plugs) I won't loose any functions.

Beginning to think the issue was not the lack of ACMs, but a lack of Navigation units. The XM delete was just collateral damage.

Saw the above.
While writing to the ACM I checked and had no issue getting into the TCU using version 2.3.5, I did not attempt to make any changes though.

I can read mine. But when I write I get a service procedure interrupted and then a failure notice (something like that).

This been covered. The onlything that happens is you’ll lose the GPS accuracy in FordPass and default to coarse cell based location. You can fix that by adding a navigation capable APIM but it’s not necessary. The new antenna will have curry/burgundy plugs.

Where I live once off of major roads and especially in the mountains I won’t have cell service in spots. So trying to come up with a way to not add nav, have a stock Sirius xm antenna, and retain gps.

Then a lot of the Jeep products started looking very similar to me. Curry, Blue, Burgundy plugs.

Started with a Wrangler nav antenna, in Wranglers Xm and Nav are 2 separate antennas. In some Wranglers the Nav is right under a center dash panel same style as the F150 has and works it has a blue FAKRA plug.

So that got me thinking, not under the dash panel, but would something like this work for me so I don’t have to buy a nav APIM and splitter.

If it will fill in for the missing blue plug where do I put it. One thought is, I have a cap on order, my last truck in 18 years only removed it twice, I have no issue running it to the top of the cap.

Might just see if between the head liner and roof, though not the best place. Or out the third break light?

I even came across two GPS antennas at the tech non profit, they metal plugs.

Ok up and running for now. Stopped at a pick and pull yard 3 minutes from my house

Yeah it is in a weird location it is now surrounded by high end homes and a country club golf course.

Pulled an xm antenna from a 2011 Grand Caravan this is fairly small, about 2”x3”, cost me 3$ including tax. It has a 8” lead so just long enough.

Plugged her in and up and running on preview!

I am going to test drive with it and see how it does, I know what areas of town gave me some issues from my old truck. So may still go with the ford roof top if this does worse

It is so small that It looks like it could live under the center speaker grill trim to the right of the speaker. Under the deck the center speaker is attached to, is a plastic bracket which leaves no room for a bolt. Drill a hole in the right spot for the base and some good double stick tape or command hook refills and adhere it there may just be enough room to work.

This will avoid dash clutter.
