With the ACM pulled and using an inspection mirror you will be able to see what connections you have on the APIM. I used the large square one harbor freight sells. But again the nav APiM shortage caused the Nav/Xm delete so almost guaranteed you don’t have it. I checked mine because at the time I did not know if it was an Nav APIM or Antenna shortage.I guess the only way to know for sure is to pull the APIM and visually inspect it. Do you know if I can view the APIM with the ACM head unit removed, or do i need to pull the screen out?
At this point, i think I am going to stop working on the nav part and focus on getting the SiriusXM permanently connected. I'm thinking I can use the existing antennas and just make some "creative" cable connections. I'm going to order the cables tonight and plan to work on this the weekend. I'll revisit the nav APIM later, maybe there will be some developments at Ford. Fingers crossed.
As to the antenna you cannot use the existing GPS antenna for XM. You need to replace the right roof antenna or do what I and others did with a dash xm antenna.
Any connection is going to be with a Curry yellow or Blue Z FAKRA antenna cable.
I got the below at a pull yard
