I mean it is terrible considering I bought a brand new vehicle and must lose money on it due to Fords incompetence. It’s easy to say these things when you’re not in the same situation

6-9 month wait to order a new truck. There are no SuperCrew 6.5ft Lariats on any lots in Ontario
HA, HA!!!

Try to find a FULLY LOADED Regular Cab Short Bed 4x4!

Ford has some of the most amazing engineers in the business. FORD MANAGEMENT SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO RUN A ROADSIDE TACO TRUCK!

How the hell these fcuking people keep their jobs is just astounding!

Took it to the local Ford, they had it for 3 days and apparently replaced something behind the dash and said it’s good to go. I get there and fire it up, all this pops up just like it did Tuesday…The truck is undrivable and they said they have no idea what’s wrong with it
Reminds me of a prior volvo i had that had very similar issue that led to lemon replacement. Turned out was a bundle of wires and connectors thru the firewall that were stretched or too tight and either heated up too much or were upset by engine vibrations and under extended drives would derange the electricity so systems would short out . They had replaced my car but dissected it and resold it used w 1500 miles on it

This is just plain incorrect.

I worked for Ford for years,

Certain clubs do require three months yes.

But UFA is one you can become a full eligible member the day you buy your membership.

Youre also in the US and we are in Canada. Not the same.
Actually they changed the x-plan terms in May 2021 to add the requirement for 90 days membership to partner organizations.

" Provide proof of organization membership (Customer must be a member of the eligible organization for a minimum of 90 days prior to the sale date of the vehicle)"
Just curious..."sale date of the vehicle" is the date you sign the papers and buy the vehicle, not the date of the order, right? In today's climate, you will be well beyond 90 days when you actually purhcase the vehicle even if you join today and order today.

While a dealership can play a major role in souring the customer on the brand, for those that think Ford is somehow the only brand that has threads like these......

The new Tundra is a TOYOTA product. So Toyota would never put a customer through an experience like this?
2022 Tundras are suffering from wastegate failure and to do the repair the motor either comes out or the cab gets lifted. However, the parts are back ordered and nobody can tell you when the parts will arrive. Your 1 week old brand new $70k Tundra is in the dealership parking lot parked. Waiting for weeks.

So very similar "This is the last Toyota I will ever...." stories are being told.

And Ram. And Chevy. And......

It just plain sucks to buy something with a factory defect. Especially during these upside down insane supply chain times.

Maybe if Amazon will start selling vehicles we can just have a return policy? :)

I get that,

But if youre getting desked at 71k for your trade, that is 74550 with the tax benefit. so now youre at a -4450 equity. which is not terrible. The dealer should be more than willing to give you that off a new truck a voila youre there.

If not get a UFA membership and have them give you xplan and once again. voila youre there.

So many ways to get you out of that truck into a new one.
Can you please explain UFA membership, price for membership and if we can use this in USA?

you do not need to be a member for more than 90 days no.

you do need to buy the membership in person at one of their farm stores.

Im not sure there are any near you which may be the issue.

It does add up.
They are offering $71k for the truck.
Sticker is $79k.

Total paid since taking delivery plus down payment made minus trade plus price of new truck is currently equaling a $15k loss
So you are including financing costs. Really can't do that. Also must exclude fees and taxes. I paid $5k below list for my ordered 2021 KR PB, about $77k plus taxes, fees, cash deal. Original MSRP was $82k, but I paid $77k plus fees. My dealer will give me that right now, cash or trade with 8k miles. If you load up your analyses with payments, interest factors, of course you have a paper "loss", but the used market is absolutely nuts, and if the $71k is close to the amount on your original invoice before all the noise you listed, it appears the deal is fair.

MSRP $79k. I paid $75k. $71k offer is a slap in the face when the truck is a lemon and non of this is my fault.
Its very easy to be a keyboard warrior when you are not in the same situation…

DUDE!

I told you, with a trade number of $71000 that works out to you getting $74550 with the tax benefit.

If you only paid $75,000 for it, Just trade the thing in and get another truck!!

And neither me nor Pungo would be in your situation because we would have traded off the "Lemon" and already be in a new truck!
