Recently this has been happening about 50% of the time I get in the truck and it started out of nowhere after having 25,000 miles trouble free. I get in the truck and the iphone connects wirelessly to Carplay. I turn on Pandora and the music plays out of my phones speaker, not the trucks speakers. This happens when I'm plugged into Carplay or wireless. Sometimes turning my iphone off/on helps, and sometimes it does not. Sometimes turning the truck off / on helps and sometimes it does not. When this happens the radio works correctly even while my iphone is connected and music is playing from the iphone speaker.

Anyone else have this issue or know how to solve it?

On your iPhone hit the Pandora notification and choose the output for Bluetooth. Something like that... I'm not an iPhone person just for work.

I had same issue when I was using ear bud on my work iPhone. It was sending calls to ear bud but not Pandora.

Howdy Mike - I have this happen to me very consistently since I got my '23 Powerboost; I connect to CarPlay wireless with my iPhone. Two things seem to consistently be associated with it happening:

1. Since wireless CarPlay uses WiFi to connect to the truck, sometimes when I'm still close enough to my house that my iPhone is still on the house Wi-Fi, I think there is some sort of syncing issue with the phone switching to the truck. I haven't done any research about this, so just speculation.
> the way I fix this is by going to the phone settings in Ford Sync, turning off the CarPlay connection to my phone then turning it back on after a few seconds (I made the Sync phone setting my quick button on the Sync screen for this purpose alone). This always fixes it for me.

2. The other way it has happened to me is when I'm in my truck, and I open the Amazon shopping app my sound will either switch to a single speaker (it seems in the dash) in the truck or it will play music out of the phone instead. As soon as I close the app it reverts to fully through the truck; its odd but 100% reproducible for me.

It's a little annoying but I think part of the toll for having all this connectivity. Anyway that's been my experiences.
