Don't worry, hammaman is gonna circumvent it, and sell you his magic invention so you can do so yourself..... ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ??
This sh!t, really gets me. "They" as confirmed earlier, need to stay out of our lives "they" have decided they know what's best for everyone. It really needs to stop. I'm ready to add a couple of disconnected vehicles to our home fleet and drive them as long as I can, Before "they" tell me I'm not allowed to purchase gasoline anymore.

@Enrique Fantastico The first Ford truck I bought used in 81 was a 1979 F-250 400 cid "emissions" really a 351 Cleveland bored. With a 4 speed and granny low. A real stump puller. You don't know how I wish I could have this truck back in new condition again. Unfortunately it's long long gone due to salt and northern winters.

Just keep on convincing folks so they beg for it ;)
As for dumping antennas into dummy loads, that's as old as transmitters.
The chinese have some crazy tech that can reconfigure RF waves into new patterns that allows a transmitter to fire directed energy from a an AP to a building where the panel then reconfigures / redirects the RF throughout the building essentially allowing NLOS capability to strict LOS frequencies. Such a capability may be used to create an on-demand faraday cage for the antennas.

Of course you can go the foil hat route if you desire, or just disconnect the antennas out-right. The 5G TCU has ~8 antenna connections in total IIRC. Don't feel like going back over the FCC data on it (I've got a post on it if you're curious).

They're out there if you really would rather have one than what you got.

18,000 miles. About the same as my 2022.
And This one sold for $15k less than mine as well.

Wow! really nice truck. I have fond memories of that truck, one was that it paid for itself in its first year with the additional income I made plowing snow with it. In 1982 to make 5k in one season, at 20 years old, plowing snow, it added an additional 50% to my income that year!
But, I drove one my friend had a couple of years ago, and I had forgotten how rough and tumble that truck was. At this point in life, I stick with my luxury highway cruiser and just keep the good memories of that truck in the back of my mind.

All I can think is that legislature like this is going to make the used vehicle market fly. Then eventually the government will start making laws to limit the use of vehicles that don't have their controls in them.

Then if the vehicle doesn't check in on its regularly scheduled time it will not be allowed to start since it figures you are trying to circumvent the regulations. If the government is going to start putting in kill switches they will also follow up making sure people don't disable them.

I guess I will probably keep my 2021 until they take it away from me.

I haven't drunk or done drugs ever in my life so I am not interested in having a vehicle that I have to prove I to that I am not intoxicated. I have driven when sleepy, I am working on not doing that. But I have also pulled over in parking lots, turnouts and rest areas to get some sleep.

Let's all be responsible for ourselves and not buy new vehicles in the future if they have systems that we don't agree with. The government can implement them but can't make you buy them. Hopefully fully self driving cars give us the freedom to not have to do breath evaluations. Of course they will obey the speed limit.

I do wish I still had my 1986 F250 bull nose 6.9L. IDI truck. It was slow and loud, but fun to drive.

Just wait until they start gating portions of interstates and highways for ADAS operation only. This is the likely enforcement mechanism for getting around grandfathered "classic" vehicles.

UK is doing some absolutely crazy shit with these ULEZ zones that just keep expanding, charging people ~$15/day if you drive within an area they arbitrarily set as such.

$34 in daily fees which includes the congestion charge

Not the government directly, but some power companies "offer" you a free thermostat BUT it gives the power company basic control of it. Sure, you can turn it up or down, but the idea of someone else controlling the temp in my house, with electricity / gas I pay for, F that !!!
Goes to turn on A/C after shit posting on X.

... "Im sorry, David. I cannot obey your command.

Tries again to turn on A/C.
