What kind of DTEs are you getting after filling up your Powerboost? I know DTEs can vary with driving modes and other environmental factors but if you consistently drive in normal or eco what are you getting? My driving varies from 90% short trips under 45 mph and 10% longer trips over 45 mph. All of this is under normal driving mode. What I’m getting is 513 miles, which according to my internal lie-o-meter is about 16.8 mpg. Kind of disappointing since I was getting about 700 miles during the first year of purchase.

I have seen the DTE fluctuate from as high as 660 to as low as 520 miles on my PB. It will also change a bit when first filling up based off the initial mpg the system sees. For example you fill it up and then happen to jump right out onto the freeway and the initial mpg is lower than usual, then the DTE will reflect it but then climb as the overall mpg for the increases.

The Highest I've ever had was 732, lowest was ~660. Just filled up the other day and it indicated 714 DTE. Drove around town for about 30 miles doing some errands and it was 712 when I got home....GO FIGURE.

I've seen this as well. Not sure what sort of new math Ford uses to calculate the DTE but It screams common core math to me...

Try resetting your instant fuel mileage. I think this is the number the DTE uses to calculate the reading. If you idle a lot or slow traffic, your instant mileage reading will drop.

I usually do that when heading out on a trip and yes, it resets the DTE....but most times I really don't care about it.

I don't worry about what is reading either. I go by the fuel level in the tank. To many things can change and drop or increase your DTE.

I do notice after hopping on the freeway after filling up the mpg increases. It always amazes me to see the DTE increasing or not moving at all after driving 30 miles. There was one guy on YouTube a year or 2 back that got over 800 miles on a tank. I’m sure that was the result of a lot of slow driving into electric and many pissed off drivers behind him.

That’s one thing I remember to do after filling up. The good thing is the actual miles I get out of a tank is roughly 600 miles. I’ve be hand calculating my mpgs the past year and a half and the shown mpgs and actual are off about 1.5 mpgs.

Most likely, however, I'll bet that Lie-O-Meter wasn't checked with the actual fuel/mileage.... :)
