Loud Noise Running Board

sounds like its not getting the message its all the way down and the motor is still trying to lower it.
I would look for anything obvious like a broken wire or loose plug near the motor or the running board.
wiggle the connectors too

I am guessing its the running board. hard to tell in the video. you are going to have to get an ear up close to locate whats running, could be a mirror too

yeah got under the truck. Def not the mirror. It’s the motor closest to the engine that is making all the noise. Just now it wouldn’t go up without help. Make the motor is dying?

It sounds like the reason why I bought a Ford PC ESP.

Mine started like that and now they just do what they want. They go up and down constantly and don't go down when the door opens half the time. The wife really hates when she steps out on to it and it goes up while she is trying to use it. So far no luck with the dealer.

What was the issue, drivers side started doing this today along with leaving some plastic white reside. I fear is a stripped gear in the motor.
