Looking for 2023 Lariat Area 51 Tailgate with STEP

As the title says. Mine didn't come with the pullout step and to me, that's a must on a lifted truck. Power tailgate is a plus. Must be Area 51 with no defects. Anyone have any leads on one?

have you considered adding a kick out bumper step? cost effective and not too hard for install.

Don't want any kick out bumper, I want the real deal. Someone out there will kick the bucket on a Area 51 and Avalanche, just gotta be patient.

Still nothing out there. Can someone please with a 2023 Area 51 XLT or Lariat with a step in tailgate wreck the front or side of their vehicle!?

The dealers can look for trucks in their area and also arrange to have it moved to their location. Their system is quite good.

Needle in a haystack. As the owner of said tailgate step, it is ok, but not great. On a non-lifted 4x4 truck, it is quite high, on a lifted truck, even higher. I echo that the better option may be the kick-out step.

You may not find a step tailgate in Area-51 for years, it is not a common color. Maybe the kick-out step is a fill-gap option until you do.

Look for a tailgate with a step from any compatible year and have it painted.

Do keep in mind that since you have a platinum, you'll need one complete with auto close so that rules out 90% or so of gates on the market. Only platinum and king ranch gates with applique will work if you want to retain your platinum applique.

Yes, I traded in my 22 Platinum for my now 23 Lariat Shelby, so the tailgate won't be as hard being it's not a Platinum.
