No ones used the left rear seat warmer in my truck… until Friday night. When they pushed the button to turn it on… the indicator light flashed twice and then turned off. Right rear works fine. Does anyone know which pins to test for breaks in the wiring? I’m guessing it might be a broken wire in the heating pad or maybe the switch? Thanks

I’d release the rear seat back and check the connectors first. Might just not be plugged in to begin with.

In that case could be broken wire on the element itself. You can use a multimeter to check for continuity on them. Usually I unplug them and test at the connector on the element side.

If I recall correctly, the backrest element only has 2 wires going to it, the cushion element would have 4. 2 would be the same as they’re for the internal thermostat, so you’d test the other 2 wires. Been a while since I messed with the OEM rear heated seats.

That’s the direction I was heading, just wasn’t sure which wires it was. Guess I’ll just poke around with the multimeter. I’ve never had to mess with seat heaters so thought I’d check first. Thanks!
