Just noticed this today. Not sure what this part is on the passenger side valve cover that the oil may be coming from. Wondering if anyone has ran into this.

2022 3.5 w/ 39k miles.

Those are your VCT solenoids. They have seals around them that are installed in the valve cover Valve cover needs to be removed to replace them.

I just saw yours is a 22 I don’t know why I thought it said 23. If you got an extended warranty it should cover it! The regular 3/36 might have expired.

I do have an extended warranty but shouldn’t the 5/60 Powertrain warranty cover this?

I have a little oil seepage in that exact same spot on my 2023 3.5 truck with just 23k miles on it. I noticed it the last time I checked the oil and was just looking around the engine bay. It’s not nearly as bad as what the OP has pictured, but I imagine over time it might. I’ll try and grab a pic tomorrow.

Let us know what the stealership says.

I’d call and ask what the warranty covers for leaks. They may monitor it before any repairs to meet certain criteria. It’s worth a shot! Doesn’t look to be leaking terribly as of now.

I looked at mine last week and thought it was looking dried out like it could leak. It is 22 with 23k. Maybe they are getting exposed to heat and can’t stand up to the heat.

I stopped by dealer this morning and they said it’s definitely the VCT seal.
Said they would have to replace seals and valve cover gasket. Should get a call this evening about when I can drop it off.

Dead center....2 plugs going into it....covered in oil.

I would really call it a seep and not a leak
