I’m looking for a fix to the emissions vapor leak that causes the check engine light to stay on. I’ve been to the dealer 7 times for this since I bought the truck new in Nov 2022. It now has 14,000 kms and the purge valve has been replaced 4 times . Based on Ford Canada’s recent engineering suggestion, the intake manifold was just changed. The codes have seemed to change over this time and include p0455, p0442 and p04f0. If I can’t find a fix , I’m going to pursue a replacement vehicle through Ford.CA. In the absence of a lemon law in Canada like the US , replacement of the vehicle can also be pursued through external arbitration.
Has anyone found a fix to a Vapor leak or had their vehicle replaced by Ford if the manufacturer was unable to fix it?
