Just picked up a 501a and it only has lane keep. The 21 502a I traded had the centering and I used it all the time. Any way to upgrade it?
I assumed with blue cruise that centering would be standard.

Given that 302s come with it factory I have a hard time believing you don't have it in the 24. Check your cruise control settings on screen. You should have bluecruise as well.

I have bluecruise. It does have centering in the console display. All turned on. Maybe it just isn't working. If I toggle the steering wheel switch it says lane keep on/off. Don't recall if the 21 said keep or centering. Either way it only does the keep, bouncing a bit back in the lane just like my 17 with keep only.

I have a 24 platinum and it seems that it bounces in the lane, as in lane keep assist - and it’s only happening when in cruise control. Doesn’t do lane centering unless it’s in blue cruise. Pretty disappointing.

Exactly. Is it supposed to work like this? If so it's a step back for sure.
Bluecruise is useless for me here in Canada.

You can use FORScan to enable Traffic Jam Assist (disables Bluecruise and enables adaptive cruise control with lane centering.

If you have adaptive cruise control
then lane centering should work. It’s either an issue with the calibration (IPMA having too low of a confidence to engage), or an issue with the module configuration. Perhaps post your VIN in the lookup thread and ask for help.

Check your tire pressures as well. Seems the more squishy the front end is, the less lane centering is happy.

Well it worked today without my trailer attached. I did get an ota Sunday I believe. Maybe doesn't work with trailer or the ota fixed it.

Correct, ford disables lane centering when it detects a trailer. This means any bike carriers or other hitch mounted devices that attach to the trailer plug for a light will also disable LCA.

I had to ditch my hitch cover brake light due to this.

Funny how the one unstated qualifier comes in later. Just waiting on a thread for my truck won't start only to get 2 pages in to learn it's in 4' of water.
