Hi all,

I had Katzkin installed on their authorized dealer couple days ago. Are these wrinkles look normal to you all? I am not an expert on this, but I feel like they did not install this right. It looks like the top part needed to be stretched more under heat and more foam to support tighter fit maybe?. Is this gonna look even worse in summer time? If it is, I'll contact katzkin and let them know I am not satisfied with the install.

I would say that looks to me to be an older seat, if these seats have zero "miles" on them, I would not have much confidence about how they'll look in 2 or 3 years, and you can't complain at that point. I would go thru the hassle while you have the chance.

I'm no expert in aftermarket seat covers. Looks to me like your older seat isn't filling out the cover like a new seat would do. Foam has been compressed to fit you.

You can complain, but I'm not sure it will do any good.

I agree, but his truck is a '22, not an '09 Accord... It can't be that broken in...???
His passenger seat looks similar as does his back seat....

I would think just needs some heat, or time, to fit. Maybe a little stretch but like anything shipped in a box I think some wrinkles would be normal.

In my 2018 it fitted similar to yours, a few warm summer days and it worked out.

Mine had wrinkles in them after installing them. Granted I did them myself and took them straight out of the box and installed them because I was too impatient/excited to get the wrinkles out beforehand. After a bit of heat from the steamer and a nice ‘bake’ with the windows up on a hot day will help loosen them up.

Here’s mine the day I installed them, with lots of wrinkles from being in the box

How do these look these days after the break in? I'm really on the fence about the Katzkins as I'm afraid they'll be hot in the summer and cold in the winter without the factory seat heater...

All the wrinkles are gone from the seats after a few sessions with a cheap clothes steamer and some hot summer days.

Honestly I think the summer heat helped more with getting the wrinkles out versus my cheap clothes steamer

I added heated seats with my kit. Which I think was an additional $100, but definitely worth it. I didn’t add ventilated seats because I didn’t want to cut away the seat foam, but the leather is perforated so it breathes just fine on hot days

Here’s my seats with a little over 60k miles on them now. The only wrinkles are from my a** in the drivers seat, and whatever tools are on the rear seats on any given day

That looks great. I'm glad the perforations help. Sways me toward getting them eventually
