Is it safe to use plastic polish on the touch screen?

I have a few scratches on the 12” touch screen that I would like to polish out before putting on a screen protector. Is it safe to polish it with plastic polish like Novus? I don’t know if the touch screen has a coating on it which might make it worse with polishing.

Don't do it. It will dull the area and make it look much worse. I'd just add a matte screen protector and call it a day.

that‘s what I was afraid of. I’ll just clean the screen then add the screen protector then.

Screen protector is your best bet. I bought this one on Amazon after buying one that was hard to install and had bubbles..

First thing to do out of the gate for a new vehicle. Get a good glass screen protector and have it on hand when you get that new vehicle.

Unfortunately, that won't work on TS units, unless you want to render it useless. Would you do that to a laptop, iPad, etc. that utilizes capacity touch?

I tried the Spigen and the installation went great, quality product. The matte finish was a no-go for me. It made everything look washed out and blurry.

Returned the Spigen and tried this other clear one from Amazon, it's awesome! Very Clear! Very few fingerprints and the ones you get wipe right off. The kit didn't come with the bubble removal tool but I had one for doing wraps and decals. Cheap too, only $13.00
