I accidentally swerved into discovering a weird quirk with Cruise Control: I keep Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) turned off in the Sync4 menu (personal choice), leaving only "standard" cruise control active.

So, I was feeling a little impish the other day, and I turned off Traction Control and switched to Sport Mode, and had a fun drive. Then I settled down and started heading home. I attempted to engage cruise control and it would not engage, and gave a message about ACC not being turned on. Apparently, you have to use ACC, or nothing, when in Sport Mode and/Traction Control off. Hmmm....

I'll have to try that.

I usually just keep the acc on with the lane centering and let the lane centering shut off when it wants to.

I use sport mode most of the time with the traction control off when in town just in case anyone wants to play. Not as much fun since it's cold now though.

Traction - short press or long press? On long press, no ADAS features are available at all including cruise. Not sure if it's the same for short press. They do this to prevent excess wheel spin if a wheel happens to lose traction, could torque the vehicle off of the road as cruise tries to increase / hold speed.

Rolling down the road, 4a should be sufficient for you to not break traction while underway. If you're just 1 pressing it, turn it on and off if you believe it to be an issue. I'd use a dragy and go about testing your scenarios to see if you're being impacted or not. I know from a standstill w/ the tuned powerboost, I'm able to spin at least 3 tires on launch. Underway it's a different story.

Aha! That explains some things! Yes, it was the long press of the Traction Control button.

I learn something every single day on this forum....
