Hi everyone this is my first post. i watch this site daily and enjoy it.
Wifey purchased some Focal 6.5” component speakers for the front of my Tremor. I’m cool with the installation but my question is. I’ve read that the tweeter signal comes directly from the radio (deck). And the speaker signal comes from the amp in the back. I would like to try just changing the speakers to see if I like the sound before I put an amp in the truck. which involves the NAV A2B and $1500 and then comes a sub and vice versa You guys know how these projects start. So I was going to try baby steps. How are you guys wiring the components up? Are people putting the component box in the rear and running a new wire to the tweeter in the front? Is it possible to run a new wire through the door up to the tweeter? I have the wire adapters so I don’t have to cut any wires installing the speakers. I’m looking for some help please I’ve searched multiple times on the forum and I haven’t found anybody Describing how they did it
Thanks for your time and teaching me something. Have a good Saturday.

In the past I've had a non amplified setup that had the mid in door and tweeter in dash. I put the crossover in the door and plugged the wires into it then ran a wire from door to dash and plugged in tweeter. I'd assume thats best way considering the tweeter in your truck is off deck and mid in door is on factory amp. They way the whole setup is amplified and the new tweeter is going through the crossover designed for it.
Fwiw I don't have a Tremor or amplified setup in my truck I'm just going by what I've done in the past. I'm sure the knowledgeable people in this forum can chime in and tell you I'm batsoup crazy don't listen to me or I'm on the right track. Lol.
Welcome to the forum congrats on the Tremor

I have a whole set up and I ran new speaker wire from my amp to the tweeters up front in the A-pillars. I have amps behind my rear seats. Some things I’ve learned, you can’t run new speaker wires in the doors, even with install experience. I have the non-Bo system, so your system might be more complicated for the install. Check out soundgoodstereo.com, they have everything you need for an awesome install specifically for your truck and will answer any questions you have.

I added components to the front and rear doors on my truck. Up front, I wired the tweeters in the a-pillar and the door speakers the same way they came from factory.

FYI: Replacing the rear door speakers will make a huge difference in the overall sound stage. The factory rear door 2-way speakers can barely be heard. My best recommendation is to not use speakers that require a lot of wattage so that the factory amplification can power them appropriately.

That system sure looks clean. Nice job I’m afraid I’m gonna end up going the same route. Do you have an A2B on there and how did you convert all your wiring?

Thanks! I found my best option to flatten the signal from the head unit and having full control of the outputs was using the DD Audio DSI-3 dsp. It has integrated Bluetooth for using an app in your phone or tablet or you can use windows. In order to integrate into the head unit and use the factory speaker wires (minus the front tweeters), I used a custom harness made by the guys at soundgoodstereo that has options for both the non b&o and b&o system.

Hope this helps!

I called @SoundsGoodStereo and the guy I talked to was cool and knew his shit. Even knew how long the wires I needed. I need to run separate wires to the tweets. Not the worst news. NOW I want amps and subs. If I need to run wires To the tweeters I might as well run power wires at the same time. Quess I’ll start a radio fund and start looking for equipment. It’s all good I still love my truck

Ps I’m looking for amps, dsp, fuse blocks, capacitor and a a2b of some kind to get rid of the (overlord Ford‘s) control of my music.
