I have a 2024 F150 Powerboost XLT that I purchased in Jun 2024. Since the time I purchased the truck I have been driving it extremely carefully and been maintaining distance wherever I parked. Another relative of mine bought the same truck in Jun 2025.
Today we were all at a third relative's house. When I entered I saw his truck was parked and I slowly reversed mine and parked it a foot long away. It was a slope. So parking brakes were on. I asked him to reverse his truck a bit. Instead of reversing his truck, he drove forward and his license plate hit my fender. I was not at the scene. Once I found it I got incredibly upset because I see two very small dents as shown below. Seeing that I got upset the whole family came out. He says he did not realize he went forward when he intended to go back. My wife also faults me for asking him to back up instead of me parking a bit forward. The reason I did not park forward was because I wanted to give folks space to enter the driveway.
This particular relative also has some mental growth issues. So no one likes to be hard on him. I am incredibly upset because I have been maintaining the truck really carefully. Based on the picture below can I just keep it as is or does this need to be replaced. He says he will pay for it but I don't want to do so since he is on my inlaws side and also does not have stable job.
