6.1 and 6.2 do not update the APIM.Which SYNC 4 version and Rev are you on?
(I'm trying to see if my updates got out of sync with my version when I replaced APIM).

This is very helpful info, thank you!I can't tell if an APIM is properly configured to a vehicle or not. Especially in his case that he manually swapped out his APIM and 8" screen for the 12" screen.
@Anor4k Your OTA dashboard shows you got OTA 23-PU0724-DOM-RS on 9/21. That should have brought you up to Sync version 23167. The Sync version in the pic is the highest Sync version you can on the 8" screen.
However, you got OTA 6.1.0 and 6.2.0, so at least you're getting updates, but those are GWM updates. I can't tell if your APIM will have successful updates or not.

I appreciate the assist! I wonder though, could it be that it thinks I am on the one newer one that my 8" was on? Or would it "learn" the older version my new apim is on?No APIM update showing for you in FDRS at this time.

If your APIM is configured properly, it will eventually sync up with Ford's servers. The way your truck is configured will eventually become your new as-built config on Ford. If and when that happens, the next time your VIN comes up for OTA's to be pushed to it, you should be sent the correct files. Or, it will send you the wrong files and the update will fail until the right files are sent to it.I appreciate the assist! Also, I'm happy to pay for your time if it gets to that point, just throwing that out there! Thanks again

I don't charge for the help I provide. The thing is, the help you need goes beyond the things I know.
Thank you so much this helps. Basically I'm fltrying to determine if a manual FDRS intervention is needed. Or if its like gps-antenna-wire related type of thing. But I havent found anyone that can do it yet.If your APIM is configured properly, it will eventually sync up with Ford's servers. None of those updates showing fit you have to do with your issue. I don't think FDRS will solve your problem. I'm guessing there is a config issue and you need forscan to fix the config. You may have to pay a vendor that specializes in these types of things for the labor associated with your problem. That helps too. So if it thinks I am on the

So if it thinks I am on the newer 23159 Rev 915 that I was on before the swap and got confused, I just have to wait for something newer and if it fails I'll know that was the issue, bc it thinks I am on the newer but I'm actually on the old... it won't just skip an update and get weird.
All APIM updates require a USB drive. However, you will need FDRS and a Mongoose adapter to be able to download the USB drive files. FDRS alone is not enough. Is it possible to download APIM updates from FDRS website and load them in a flash drive ?
Ok that makes sense, thanks for clarifyingAll APIM updates require a USB drive. However, you will need FDRS and a Mongoose adapter to be able to download the USB drive files. FDRS alone is not enough.
It didn't used to be that way. With Sync 3, you could download the files from Ford yourself and do it. With 2021+ F150's on Sync 4, Ford took that away because they figured we didn't need it since we get OTA updates now.Ok that makes sense, thanks for clarifying
