According to what I've learned from observation as well as looking through threads here.. The upper headlights don't actually do much. I have a 502A Lariat so its got the projector LEDs that bend as you corner. However, both the low beams and the high beams are in the lower light area. I guess the tops are just aesthetic and don't actually do much.

So as soon as someone can invent a mod that allows the top beams to be a more functional light - TAKE MY MONEY! Lol.

Seriously how cool would it be if the lowers did their cool bending thing but the tops were just another duplicate set of non-bending high/low beams?

I understood the top beams don’t do much in the US (stock) but are utilized when glare-free lighting is in use.

I've heard that said, and even watched a few videos. None mentioned that it was the tops specifically, but I Guess it makes sense. It was also not mentioned if if not glare-free created substantially more light. If it does, I'm going for it. If it's just neat, I probably won't. You have any ideas on that?

GF is like having your High beams on but cutting down just where it needs to as to not blind oncomers. So it should be substantially more light and consistent.

I've experienced it firsthand, what I'm saying is i want a view to see what the headlight itself looks like while doing this.
Ah gotcha! I imagine youd need to be really up in the projector to see how it turns off/on sections. Would be cool to see for sure.

So you've seen it first hand, and I know you can't confirm what it like like from the outside, as in how it behaves, but can you confirm that the lights are substantially brighter with GF on?

GF ramps up to full brightness just like using your manual bright. Love it.

I did the GF FORSCAN changes and I love it. It only turns down the lights in the areas that need to be for oncoming traffic or if you are behind someone.

I'll probably just try the Glare Free update, but really I just want a hack to turn those upper lights into non bending low/high beams that cycle off/on high/low with the cabin controls. Some please invent this. Lol.

They're cool, but honestly, every day that goes by near me, less and less people actually dim their headlights for me, so I'm not interested in investing in a non-glare system for them. As Eazy-E said, "I say, f**k 'em"
