2021 Hybrid with 82 k miles. Two months ago started with crazy codes. Powertrain fault, gas pedal fault, general code toss. As many as 40 codes at one time. Trip to dealer, after waiting two weeks to get them to look at it...Sorry Can't find anything....Two weeks later death truck appears and low power mode takes it down. Stopped at a light, truck would not shut off, locked in gear. Would not shift out of park. Was running in all electric mode. Towed to dealer, dragging it on trailer because no one knows how to get it out of park. Truck eventually shut it self off.

Three weeks later, oh it is a short in the hybrid battery. Replaced battery.

Now two weeks later same death truck. Tossed a bunch of short in onboard pro power and pro power unavailable. While sitting in it to reset pro power, her comes all the codes again...Truck won't come out of gear and won't activate engine. Electric mode only. Giant brick again. After reading posts on here waited a bit and tried to restart. Tired of paying tow bill to dealer. Ran it a bit to recharge batteries and was able to see pro power charge appear on screen again. Truck will now start and stop as normal but still shows all codes. Pulled codes with reader suggested and am now able to drive. Will technical bulletin posted online help? How do I get around idiot techs at dealer and talk to Ford. For something that has been happening for 5 years you would think someone could figure this out.

I'd start with replacing both 12v batteries (Main 12v under hood and a small one under the rear seat), if you haven't already. If they're the OG batteries, they're likely on their last breath.

These trucks are SUPER sensitive to low 12v voltage and seem to throw every error code it can find when it gets unhappy.

^ this.

When you replace the batteries be sure to fully charge them to 100% with an AGM charger and then reset the BMS. New batteries are rarely at 100% charge when new.

I was thinking the same thing but I'd try charging them up first.

You shifted into park at a stop light?

Actually no the truck shifts into park on its own if it shuts off.....Which it did. You also can not leave it in neutral and turn it off....It will move to park on it's own...It is very weird. And makes it hard to move when it shuts off. It will shut off if you leave it running and not in generator mode.

Battery shows at 14.2 when under monitoring. What is it supposed to be?

Ford replaced your HVB under warranty. Did they also replace the PEM or BECM? Seems like something major is shorting/draining/resetting.
Cabling and wiring can give strange catastrophic symptoms. The two 12V batts certainly can cause issues, but I don’t remember this particular set of issues.

The system voltage to the BMS will be at/around 14.2 when the truck is in Ready state and either the HVAC blower is on 5 or higher, or lights are on. If the lights are off and blower is below 5 the voltage supplied to the battery will drop to 12.8v. It will also do this if you open the driver's door or do not have the fob in the truck when it is running.

A fully charged AGM battery at rest should be 12.85V or pretty close to it.

You will often see 14.x on a truck that isn't used much. I usually drive 40-50 miles a day minimum. But for ten days it never turned a wheel. So guess what 14 plus rather than low 13s.

My work colleague (in another city) had very similar problems with his 2022 Lariat PB - Ford could not fix it - would light up like a Christmas tree. Ford bought it back plus extra $$ ... he told me when he returned it to the dealer for buy back check they service manager said it was going to be shipped back to Dearborn to be stripped down for root cause analysis - he was not sure how many were bought back and this was one of several he had heard of in the Ford system. Good luck, maybe reach out for the buy back option?

Aux battery. But best to replace both 12v batteries.

I believe you can put it in Neutral by 1. Move shifter to N, then press the M button as in Manual. Tyranny stays in Neutral until to move the shifter. You can even turn off the engine. Great for auto carwashes.
